Hotel De Harmonie is a 4-star hotel next to the old village of Giethoorn (100 metres), where you can experience friendly hospitality. All of our comfortable and spacious rooms have toilet, shower or bath, TV, direct telephone line and a nice view overlooking the national park "De Wieden". The hotel is in a quiet location and you will have direct access to all of the canals for making boat trips or canal cruises.

Giethoorn, Venice of the North, is not only famous for its wooden bridges and thatched roofed farms, but also for its natural beauty. In Giethoorn on the edge of the old village, surrounded by beautiful walking and cycling paths, with a view of National Park 'De Wieden', Hotel De Harmonie is well situated.

A cheerful family hotel with many possibilities, quietly situated along the village canals in the touristic and untouched Giethoorn-Noord. Hotel de Harmonie is an ideal hotel for people who appreciate peace and quiet and who like to keep active with the many recreational opportunities.

Food & beverage

The restaurant conservatory rooms are cheerfully decorated and when the weather allows for it, you can have an a la carte dinner on our terrace. Gourmets will appreciate the menu that consists of many culinary highlights. This artful cooking can also be recognised in our 3-course meals. Thanks to its many facilities, Hotel de Harmonie is the perfect place for festive occasions as well as business meetings. The hotel is comprised of various rooms for a maximum of 150 people, equipped with A.O. video, overhead projector, flip over easel pad, copying machine and fax.

Hotel de Harmonie comprises 16 luxurious hotel rooms. All rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and equipped with all modern conveniences, including bath, shower, toilet, desk, dressing table, cosy sitting area, cable TV and telephone. All rooms have a sun terrace at the waterfront. The hotel rooms grant a splendid view over the water and National Park "De Wieden". Hotel de Harmonie has all of the comforts that you may expect from a new (1997) and modern 3-star hotel.

Hotel de Harmonie is an ideal starting point for exploring Giethoorn and its surroundings. The hotel is the starting point for various recreational possibilities such as cycling, walking, boat trips, canoe trips, rowboat trips, electro-boat trips (so-called 'fluisterboot'). Altogether, there are 18 different cycling, walking and boat trips. From the hotel, you are directly connected to the various marked cycling, walking and boat routes, extending over this beautifully scenic area.
