Hotel Heemskerk

You have the impression to be at friends'home. It is central (close to the Museums and the Concertgebouw). A bus line from the airport stops almost in front of the hotel.. The people are vey nice and helpful. A good deal for a week end in Amsterdam if your budget is medium-size.

Proprietor Norman's friendliness lends the feeling of being amongst friends, in contrast to the impersonal feeling of most hotels. We loved our room as well, warm and cosy and beautifully decorated. Norman's personal touch blends well with the hotel's art deco touches, such as the fireplace inside the main entrance.

The ambiance and wonderful location, short walk to the major museums and to most of the tram lines. The staff was friendly, helpful and family like. Recommended the hotel to friends traveling in Holland, already.

There is no elevator and we had a climb to the third floor, but the staff was most helpful in carrying our two heavy suitcases to the third floor. However, the room and its traditional decor more than compensated for the climb.

Cozy place. Lovely old style decor. Very nice location. Very hot water. Nice tub.

Excellent location (at Museumplein), between the center and RAI, exactly what I needed. The hotel staff is really friendly. From this time on I will focus on small hotels like this one.

My room was rather small, nothing for claustrofobic people. But I it wasn´t a problem since I stayed out most of the time.

Veldig hyggelig lite hotel som ligger meget sentralt i Amsterdam.

Henkilökunta (ja omistaja) erittäin avuliaita ja ystävällisiä. Hyvä, rauhallinen sijainti. Herkullinen aamupala.

3 hengen huone oli melko pieni, olisi voinut olla enemmän tilaa tavaroille.

L'accueil très sympatique, la propreté, le calme de la chambre, la localisation (à 5mn à pied des musées Rijks et Van Gogh et à 10 mn du Dam en tramway)

Prix un peu cher quand même pour une chambre au deuxième étage avec une douche...Mais c'est peut être l'effet Amsterdam

Uns hat die persönliche Atmosphäre im Haus sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage ist einmalig gut und das Preis.Leistungsverhältnis ist ausgewogen.

atitudinea personalului si in special a managerului (sau propritarului?) de la care am primit cele mai utile sfaturi in legatura cu cele mai bune legaturi spre punctele in care voiam sa ajungem si ptr sugestiile facute (in special excursia la keunkenhof despre care nu aveam nici o sursa de informare si care a fost minunata)

putin mai multa atentie la detalii care pot sa influenteze aprecierea generala (scurgere la baie defectuoasa, supor hartie defect,cuvertura descusuta)
