I felt as if I was visiting some close friends or relatives during my stay there. Sabine and Norman always took a personal interest in what I was doing and almost kept a motherly eye on me. They were always helpful and cheerful, Hotel was right next to tram stops, the main museums and the Concert Hall which was a reason for choosing it. The room had everything you needed and the bathroom was roomy, clean and comfortable. The single bed was a bit narrow and the room was rather tiny. But then again, the hotel advertises itself as the smallest 3star hotel in Amsterdam |

Staff were terrific, very helpful about restaurants, directions, buses and airport taxi. Excellent breakfast for 10 euros a day. Noisy bar across the street. People yelling and screaming on the street at night. Too expensive and it needs a lot of upgrading. Clean but torn wallpaper, grubby rugs, scuffed walls and woodwork. Should be about a third less in price ! |

It is an excellent hotel. The greatest feature is the staff and service. Sabine was helpful in every little aspect. Restaurants, maps, recommendations, breakfast, tips. It was the best service w had in a long time. The location is a bit far from the old center, but Amsterdam is small and it is close to museums. Rooms are big and nice and there are some nice cafes and restaurants in the area. Wireless should be free these days, but it is something they are working on. |

The Hotel is a gem. Location is a very quiet street between two important square. Spacious and clean double room. Incredibly comfortable wide bed. Rich and genuine breakfast. Norman and Sabine are two delicious persons, who take care of everything you need, including a special gluten-free breakfast for us. You feel like at your own home. Hello Norman and Sabine, greetings from Naples. |

This hotel has the nicest staff ever. So much so that the manager was so kind to fix my suitcase which broke on the way there (thanks Norman!). Rooms are clean and pretty, nice terrace with view. Real cozy and pleasant place. Absolutely great value! |

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, the beds were comfortable, the location was convenient but quiet. Breakfast was very good, and value for money. I cannot think of anything I did not like about this hotel. |

You have the impression to be at friends'home. It is central (close to the Museums and the Concertgebouw). A bus line from the airport stops almost in front of the hotel.. The people are vey nice and helpful. A good deal for a week end in Amsterdam if your budget is medium-size. |

Proprietor Norman's friendliness lends the feeling of being amongst friends, in contrast to the impersonal feeling of most hotels. We loved our room as well, warm and cosy and beautifully decorated. Norman's personal touch blends well with the hotel's art deco touches, such as the fireplace inside the main entrance. |

The ambiance and wonderful location, short walk to the major museums and to most of the tram lines. The staff was friendly, helpful and family like. Recommended the hotel to friends traveling in Holland, already. There is no elevator and we had a climb to the third floor, but the staff was most helpful in carrying our two heavy suitcases to the third floor. However, the room and its traditional decor more than compensated for the climb. |
