First impression is very important. And when people talk to you like you are there old friend it is beautiful. I really enjoyed being there, it is not only the place to stay for a couple of nights, it is a place where you want to come back.
Though small, the Franz Hals room was clean, comfortable, and tastefully but simply decorated. Having our own toilet was a bonus because we are an older couple.
great, lovely & friendley people. Thanks for the journey! We enjoyed the breakfast!
Very friendly. Easy access into Haarlem. Comfortable rooms. The kids loved the swing in their room!
Difficult to find.
Decor and style of the place, the staff, good prices for breakfast, coffees etc, great location.
No wifi in bedrooms only in public areas, were told about free parks which was good to know but when we looked around the car park it was for the local shops etc, would have been nice to be given the option of paid secure also at check in, ended up getting a great secure car park in the end but it took 2 hours to find as Haarlem is not a car friendly city.
We had a swing in the bedroom, which my boys loved. When I phoned to get direction to the hotel, only a few blocks away, but lost, staff came out to find us in the street!
We liked it all!
- Nice rooms, well equipped - Very clean - Good breakfast - Helpful maps & tipps what to do & where to go - Great location in the city center & next to cool bars & restaurants - Close to water
Friendly staff, easy walk to city center or train station.
Very bright and vibrant place! the staff is friendly and location is also fine - in the center but in quiet street, everything was OK
good food and coffee downstairs comfortable bed cozy room great location near the water and center
was noisy outside - over the street - may want to bring earplugs in case of construction/etc
I am quite experienced with hostels ... but must admit this is ONE of the best one ... from all points:) and Lotte is the coolest and prettiest person !! Highly recommended
Loved the design of the hotel and room - really attractive. Great location.
Slightly expensive considering shared toilet and no breakfast included.
Everything was wonderful here.
Just a wonderful place to stay and soak up the experience of Haarlem. Love the ambiance, cleanliness and location of this establishment. I have stayed there twice now and would go back in a heartbeat.
A little expensive for a hostel but it really is worth it and it the best hostel I have ever stayed at.
Staff helpfulness. General organisation. Cleanliness. Comfort. Common areas. Location
Very pretty and clean rooms.
A little noisy.
Nice design and the typewriter in room is very interesting
Expensive and overrated
Very nice place, with friendly people. Haarlem is a really nice city that for sure worths the visit!
A bit far from Amsterdam, you have to take a train. The main problem is that the trains stop at midnight and only starts again after 6.
decor, staff-from cleaner to staff to owner: they were awesome! breakfast is yummy too. and they played great music. good vibes
while the door alarm will ring if it's not closed properly, it becomes quite a nuisance as many guests leaves it to use the toilet etc.
Everything! Most of all the wonderful, friendly staff and excellent coffee!
A bit noisy when our room was on street side, and it was King's Day but all in all we slept beautifully and enjoyed our stay!
Saskia and her staff are very helpful, accommodating and friendly. The rooms we stayed in are very charming. The location is near the canal - very lovely.
1) no lifts and the stairwell is narrow - but I think this is understandable because it's supposed to be a traditional Dutch house 2) one room had a pungent smell from the shower
The place had a lovely feel to it. The room was fab, and the staff were really friendly. Loved the location, a few minutes walk outside harlem, and they could lock up our bikes in a garage which was excellent.
Beautiful new interior, absolutely spotless and the staff were very helpful. Everything in Haarlem is close as it is not a big place and the hostel is a mere 5 min from everything by foot.
Great place, great atmosphere, great people, great room & bed :-)
Superb! Good location, walking distance to everything downtown. Friendlyand helpful staff. Interesting rooms and decorations. Great sample of a Dutch brebreakfast. Very lucky tohave my first step of the trip in this cozy hostel.
