HEM Hotel Amsterdam

Respan tyttö oli todella ystävällinen ja avulias. Itse huone oli hinnaltaan edullinen ja huoneet olivat isohkot ja siistit. Kulkuyhteydet keskustaan olivat kätevät, raitiovaunulla n. 10-15 min.

Aamiainen ja kaikki lisäpalvelut olivat kalliita, kuten internet ja pysäköinti. Suihku oli todella surkea - vettä valui kylpyhuoneen lattialle ja muutenkin peseytyminen oli hankalaa, koska suihkusuutin ruikki vettä sinne sun tänne. Henkilökunnan palvelualttius ja ystävällisyys ei pätenyt ihan koko henkilökuntaan.

Generally speaking, I believe the hotel offers reasonable value for money. I think that the breakfast provided is extremely good.

I did not like the smell of cannabis smoke that often seemed to be wafting around the corridors and lobby. I believe that the cost of the (excellent) breakfast is very high. It is substantially cheaper in New York, for instance. I was not happy with the cost of a coffee in the bar ... 3.5 euros is extremely expensive for coffee from a machine. And I thought that security in the baggage room, which has a broken lock, was non-existent.

Good service and clean rooms. Staff were happy to assist with problems we had.

Staff sometimes seemed quite cold when first approached. Access to the hotel was also slightly inconvenient.

Cheap to stay in. good size of the room.

A bit far from the city centre. Dirty bathroom. There were insects in the room every where something like ants (in bed, bathroom, and finally found their way to our suitcases). I told the receptionist about it and he said he will change my room but they didn't.

They had their own secure parking lot and the breakfast was excellent.

I thought that the hotel facilities (bar, restaurant, breakfast room) were good. It was fairly well connected to the city centre.

In our room the carpet was soaking wet around the bathroom door, this made the room smell like wet dog! There were loose floor tiles in the bathroom and there was mould in the shower, the shower door was broken and wouldn't close (possibly why the floor tiles were loose). The toilet cistern took about 20 minutes to (very noisily) refill after flushing, this is very annoying when trying to sleep. We complained to hotel staff, however, they didn't seem to care or be willing to do about it.

Very easy access to the city center, everything was OK comparing to the price.

Friendly and helpful staff, the room was clean and tidy. We had a free 72 hour public transport ticket and breakfast as part of a promotion, so for what we paid, it was excellent value.

The sheets weren't great, beds probably could do with undersheets. Sink continuously backing up.

The Hotel was good and the staff were very freindly. But there's no room service, no telephone facilities and no free TV. You get only pay TV.

I don´t know if it was wrong, but I got the biggest room in Europe! It was wonderful.

But I didn´t have breakfast neighter internet.
