We stayed on the "Grietje uq3" boat that was located on a canal right in the center of Harlingen that night (some 5km away from the Herberg Greate Pier). With almost 100 hotel nights/year I can say that this is a true alternation to the usual hotel chain experience with a little bit of adventure and romantic included. The boat offers almost all the comfort of a 4* Hotel room. All very clean and very friendly hosts. They offered us a warm welcome and gave good advice where to go for dinner, where to buy breakfast stuff, etc.. The Hotel does not accept any Credit Cards, but Cash only.

What I liked best was the attractiveness of the decor and the comfortable and luxurious beds and the wifi! Also, how friendly the innkeeper was. I would have appreciated a little more variety in the breakfast, but loved the expresso and cappuccinos!

Sfeervol opgeknapte herberg op het Friese platteland. Hartelijke ontvangst door gastvrouw Eline. Er is een gezellige / huiselijke sfeer: open haard, leestafel, boeken en tijdschriften en lekkere koffie uit een Italiaanse machine. Bij goed weer is het prettig vertoeven op het terras. De kamers zijn comfortabel en 's morgens is er een zeer uitgebreid ontbijt met verse streekproducten. De gastvrouw geeft goede tips over de bezienswaardigheden en restaurantjes in de buurt (de Pizzeria in het dorpje Pingjum is een aanrader). Kan niets bedenken, we komen graag nog een keertje terug.

Het is een heel gezellig en warm hotel, het bed sliep heerlijk en het ontbijt was uitstekend. Het enige minpuntje was dat er aan het plafond in de hotelkamer veel slierten spinrag hingen.

Das große Zimmer ist wirklich groß und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Frühstück läßt fast keine WÜnsche offen - und es gibt selbst gemachte Marmelade, selbst eingemachtes Obst, frisches selbstgemachtes Brot mit Kruste!

Accueil chaleureux, attention et amabilité constantes de l'hôtesse, qui plus est parle très bien français. Excellents petits déjeuners et un diner aux petits soins. Bon confort, calme et repos assurés, si besoin est, vu la situation de l'hôtel. Conseils appropriés pour les visites et documentation sur les évènements locaux (la course en patin à glace effectuant le tour des 11 villes de Frise). Le faible nombre de chambres et l'accueil de l'hôtesse rapprochent cet hôtel de l'ambiance chambre d'hôtes. Pas de paiement par carte ou chèque.

Het ontbijt was heel goed. We konden niet begrijpen dat deze B & B een hoge waardering hadden (9.1) vonden wij niet van toepassing. Bij aankomst kregen we de sleutel van de kamer en verder werd ons geen informatie gegeven.
