This is not a hotel in a strict sense, it's more of a reservation, well separated but still part of a large (and impressive) building that also has other services, such as shops, ateliers and a business center.
The reception is at the Brasserie on the ground floor and is not working 24/7.
Breakfast is optional at 12.5 per day, which (although I didn't try it) I found rather expensive compared to the daily cost of staying there.
Rooms are not soundproof and have wooden floorboards; so you can hear surrounding residents move around and doors closing, whereas sleep is not guaranteed when a party or feast takes place in other areas of the building. So it's not a place to choose if you want to sleep long hours.
It's hard to find a better location than this: on the northern part of town center, less than a 10-minute to Grote Markt, a 5-minute walk from UMCG, situated right next to a bus stop and the surrounding area has everything you might need (supermarkets, restaurants, bars and cafeterias, as well as different stores).
Excellent service: staff was always friendly and helpful. Housekeeping service was very helpful.
Modern place with nice design.
Rooms are rather small but very comfortable and bright, with very high windows and curtains which block the morning light very well (I stayed at 108).
Very comfortable living room and kitchen, fresh fruit every day, a microwave, water boiler, fridge, coffee machine.
Overall and compared to other hotels, good value for money.
