Perfect location. Friendly and helpful stuff.
The room was really small. Breakfast was poor.
The location is good
The room is very very small and old. You can't barely circulate in it. The matress is not good.
The staff were lovely, the location was amazing, the breakfast great. For the money you pay this hotel was amazing.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent location, walking distance for most attractions. Fantastic value for money for a short stay break.
Room was quite small but it is adequate for a short stay.
Modern, sparkling clean en suite shower room. Really helpful and friendly staff. Great range of discount leaflets and discount business cards Tourist map given and sights pointed out at check in. My error in booking, corrected at no further cost. 5 minutes walk to Dam Square Very pretty and characterful location Good value for money for the location and continental breakfast. Clean room, sheets and floors. Can leave luggage and pick up later on the last day.
Nothing not to like for the price.
Location was excellent. Quite quiet, nice canal view, only a few minutes from Dam. The bathroom was newly renovated. Tasty, basic breakfast.
Room was really simple, not really decorated. It was for three persons, but I think it was or two max. Really steep stairs.
The flat was central, and in a beautiful part of Amsterdam. The staff at reception were welcoming, and gave us excellent advice.
The double bed in the flat comprised two single beds pushed together. I had only to roll over for them to open up and create a large gap - so I had to get up; remake the bed, and then try to get to sleep again .
Value for money. Location.
Not exactly a complaint, but my room as up four flights of stairs, so that got to be a bit of a workout.
Stairs to the 3th floor
Within very easy walking distance of all major attractions, this hotel is great for the on-foot traveler. We stayed for 2 nights and found the staff to be very friendly and genuinely helpful. Recommended for young travelers on a budget.
The free breakfast is a very basic one - skip it and have some waffles/baked goods at one of the many nearby bakeries instead. The rooms are very small and - like the breakfasts - basic. Don't expect stylish decor - this is not a luxurious stay, but rather a convenient place to crash after your daily adventures in the city. Note that the walls are very thin, though - even though quiet in terms of street traffic, the in-hotel noises of walks and coughs and showers and bed springs are heard clearly in the rooms. That said, you'll probably find yourself so exhausted by Amsterdam that you fall into a deep sleep despite these noises.
Be prepared for the steepness of the stairs. We knew they were steep but didn't think it would be that bad.
Free breakfast included was delicious and served at a reasonable time (8-10am). The central location was ideal to see all the main sights in Amsterdam but was still in a quiet location by the side of a canal so not disturbed by crowds. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and modern ensuite shower/toilet more than adequate for our needs.
Double/Twin room was two single beds pushed side-by-side but not fixed to one another, so occasionally a bit of a gap in the middle, and mattress was a bit soft for my liking - however it was still comfortable and I got to sleep no problems.
breakfast was lovely. bed was very comfortable. staff where very friendly. location is amazing
lots of stairs and we where on the top floor. All hotels are the same though.
Great location and Kind staff.
Too small room and bathroom at 4th floor with very steep stairs. Small bed (not double bed). If there's a lot of wind, window creaks. Cleaning not good (the bathroom trash contained waste from previous guests). Poor sweet breakfast.
Breakfast. Complemented coffee between 9am to 9pm.
Small room and very small bathroom with out lock.Very Steep stairs.
The room was simple but very comfortable and cosy. Our private bathroom was spotless clean. Lovely canal view. Breakfast was good with a nice variety to choose from and the breakfast room was very nice. All the main sights are within short walking distance from the hotel so we had no need to take the tram or any other form of transport. The longest walk we had was to the Rijksmuseum and it was around 15 minutes. The hotel has a perfect location in a quiet street. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
The stairs are steep to the third floor but this is to be expected in a traditional canal house.
Staff was very nice. Breakfast was good.
The place is very rundown and poorly furnished. Carpeting is bare, stairs are extremely steep and dangerous. There is no lift. Extremely noisy bathroom fan. Shower has no stall, only a curtain to separate it from the rest of the tiny bathroom. Two card table chairs and a tiny table were all the additional furniture besides the beds. Dismal room, all and all.
Staff are very helpful. Good wifi connection, big space, close to all the sightseeing spot.
The carpet on the floor.
steep stairs, no lift!
The location was great, the continental breakfast was also great.
Excellent friendly& helpful staff A1
Rooms are very very old - out dated and over priced for what you get.
We liked he location and opportunity to stay in an old canal-side building with it's very steep winding stairs. The room and bathroom were quite adequate with all that we needed as well as being very quiet. Breakfast was excellent and more than we expected. Staff were extremely helpful, checking things on the internet and able to give relevant information. Discount cards available for many attractions. Very good value.
Quirky canal house with view over the canal. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location with everything within easy walking distance. Perhaps could do with some updating but just added to the character. Had everything we needed for a weekend break.
Friendly staff. Very good location of the hotel. Quite good breakfast.
Except from the bathroom, the room was dirty enough to see mice in the night. Also below the bed sheet was dry blood. It was very disgusting. Additionally, there wasn't elevator, just very steep stairs.
Friendly and Helpful staff
