It is a very small city but it is very dutch.
It is a very small city but it is very dutch. So if you are passing by, one sunny day in ijsselstein, relaxing and enjoying the historical city is nice. There are not many tourist attractions to do though.

We were only there to watch a sports match a the local Hockey venue. It was more than fit for purpose and the town centre was pretty and seemed to have some great restaurants! Some lovely views on the local waterway network.

A picturesque little high street with cool shops and eateries (and a lovely bar overlooking the canal/river)and the hotel was great with reasonable prices and safe parking nearby.... but just a 30min tram ride from central Utrecht. No fuss, hassle or expense! Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Definitely stay here again!kateUnited Kingdom

Those are the only positive features. Alas, it is the only possibility to stay in the centre and we wish there were other options and we did not have to stay in the hotel when we visit Ijsselstein.
