Was a great final weekend for my fiance and I before our baby is born. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast and dinner was fabulous. Lovely walk around the grounds and a short walk to Tegelen and train to Venlo, but no real need to leave the hotel grounds:)

No criticisms really; restaurant staff were excellent for first course but slowed down when it got busier, but small matter compared to the food and presentation. Great blueberry sorbet:)

Great stay there but sometimes delivery of meals in the restarunt in very slow

Both our rooms had lights that did not work and were very warm despite the day being cooler - would have been good if rooms were airing when guests expected. The service at dinner and breakfast could have been more attentive

Beautiful setting in fully renovated castle. Lovely outdoor terraces surrounded by a moat. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Our room overlooked pond/lake. Had indoor heated Pool and also a Sauna. Restaurant had gourmet food, little pricey but good quality. Breakfast, included in room price, was nice and had a good selection. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Not in walking distance of town, train station etc so needed own transport or taxi to get to and from places.

Very friendly staff and good overall standard. The food was bot well presented and tasty.

Bilderberg Château Holtmühle is a quiet place, very suitable for relaxation, meditation, spa, creative, spending time with family in a beautiful space framed in nature and very elegant. I was impressed with the sophistication incorporated medieval elements in modern architecture. Lake, forest, park, sculpture workshop, all services and discreet and pleasant staff how to interact with visitors. Rooms are elegant, classic style, beautifully decorated. Dining and variety of menus I was delighted.

Being a caniuculara summer, I felt bad way, especially at night, no air conditioning.

We chose the hotel as it was near to the floriade being staged in venlo. We were delighted with the setting and service we received.All staff mostly young people very friendly and attentive. setting of hotel delightful surrounded by water, pleasant terraces to sit on and enjoy evening drink etc... Restuarant serving good food with attentive service. breakfast very good, delicious freshly baked bread to accompany the many dishes on the buffet. altogether a wonderful weekend will return !!!

It's beautiful hotel, and the rooms were large and luxurious, the whole atmosphere & location were lovely. A place for relaxing, it got gym, swimming pool.. no matter a bit small. To Tegelen & Venlo only 4 and 15 mins respectively by car, also close to Roermond outlet. The staffs were nice, helpful & English speaking.

The level of service was below expectations. Ordering afternoon teas on the terrace, pre-dinner drinks in the bar, and then dinner itself proved very slow in both taking orders and delivery. Whether this was due to understaffing or poor management I cannot say. Tendency to run out of decent bread at breakfast - both mornings left with only white sliced loaf. Changing facilities and showers for the swiming pool were also in need of an update. We stayed six weeks earlier in the nearby sister hotel and found this much better on all these points,.

Location, luxury and tremendous use of the historical building.

The buffet for breakfast for very good and various. The place is nice and beautiful.

We booked a room to this hotel because there were rooms left not under the roof as for the other hotel from the same category. When we arrive, the receptionist informed us that our room was upgraded to a highest level. When we enter in the room, we were not under the roof but in the roof. The room was horrible HOT, we have to pay attention when going to the bed not to bag the beams, I am only 1m57 tall, sleeping all the night with AC. When I went down to the receptionist mentioning that we were not happy about the room, she said that we were ONLY staying one night and there were apparently fully booked which I doubt about it given her will to find a solution or to propose something else. Since the room not being under the roof (picture on the web site) and given the price and the service of the room, I am not going to go again in this hotel.

It was a very well appointed hotel, located close to the German border. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely facility and grounds, very well-renovated, and the price seemed quite reasonable based on the size of the rooms and the quality of the furnishings, etc.

No Air-conditioning, but by opening windows at night it was comfortable enough. Gourmet restaurant service was not up to par - untrained waiter got order wrong causing a long delay. Dinner food was not as good as expected.

The hotel and grounds are gorgeous with the plants and animals on the grounds making for a wonderful and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel interiors are spacious and comfortable with a touch of luxury. The terrace is fantastic of a summer evening. Rooms are spacious and well appointed, with very comfortable beds. Reception staff is very friendly, helpful and efficient.

The housekeeping was appalling: room and wc were left dirty (with hair on the floor), my clothes were left all crumpled up and scattered around the room (whereas I had left them spread out on the bed), no replacement shower gel was provided (had to ask reception). Service in the bar, terrace and restaurant is very slow. Restaurant menu is lacking in choices (only 4 main course options available)

The location in a quiet area but adjacent to floriade 2012 and easy to locate. ALL THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND SPOKE ENGLISH

We found the room could have had better ventilation and cooling - bearing in mind that the average daily temperature was 30 degrees. THE DINNER MENU BY ENGLISH STYLE LACKED A VARIETY.

Good place to visit Floriada. Beautiful building.

Small and not very clean rooms. The smell of smoking even in a non-smoking room. Quite careless personnel in the restaurant. Not all the staff speaks English.

The rooms are large and luxurious as you would expect in a chateaux. The lake and surrounding grounds create a lovely environment. The dinning area hasca wonderful ambience and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The chateaux was wonderful. Unfortunately we went to the Floriade which was a huge waste of time.

'Superior Room' with plenty of space but tiny window and no aircon.Very dark, and uncomfortable on hot and humid days and nights in July. Supplied electric fan helped only a bit. Breakfast tables not cleared promptly so people overspill into the dark and cavern like dining room, rather than using the pleasant orangerie for buffet breakfast. Need more staffing for breakfast clearing. Dinner fine, but service really slow. Customer satisfaction form online seemed hopeless so I abandoned it. Hope the hotel reads this! Could be a much better hotel.
