The staff were really helpful told us were was good to go and helped in every way possible, rooms were clean and we couldn't have asked for more for our money.
The stairs are like hiking up a mountain but it was just something to laugh about to be honest didn't cause any problems
Very help full staff, basic but clean hotel great value for money.
The location is excellent! Nice neighborhood - oasis in the centre of town!
staff are nice with excellent location, 1 minute from business school uva.
wifi and no private toilet
Loved Kelly who worked there, she was so friendly, approachable and willing to help with anything. Our room was a nice size and even had a balcony! Free WiFi throughout the hotel, free pool table and kitchen facilities available for all guests.
Walls were thin so could hear other guests early in the morning
Really good staff, thank you!
Not a lot of choice for breakfast
the location was good about 10 minutes walking from Dam Square. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was a selection of bread and meats, cold boiled eggs and two types of cereal. Milk, juice and tea/coffee and toasters.
This was not a hotel more of a hostel. The rooms seemed clean but we did find some property from previous guests under the bed. The furniture was very basic just a wooden cupboard with a hanging rail but there was a safe in the room. The person I shared with suffered from insect bites as did others in the party staying in other rooms in the accomodation. However I was fine. The showers were fairly clean but the steps were extremely steep and somewhat windy.
Location to public transport.
Having to move rooms. No light in upstairs bathroom. No wifi in rooms.
Comfortable hostel in a good location (about a 15-20 minute walk from Dam Square) in a very safe area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!
Only problem is that the stairs are extremely steep with tiny steps, especially considering we had to take heavy backpacks up to the 3rd floor. This isn't an issue because every single building in Amsterdam is like this.
very friendly stuff in all 24hr shifts good location interesting guests breakfast included
the location is not bad, 2 stops from the central station by subway.
Stuff there are not very friendly, shared toilet and the bathroom are not very clean. Windows in the bathroom are not closed which make me feel quite cold when taking the shower and the temperature of the shower water is not stable. Besides, facilities in the hotel are old, and the wifi only works by connecting with your facebook again and again. Overall, both me and my boyfriend think it seems to be a "hostel" .
The staff from the afternoon and evening were great, very helpful and knew everything about the city. The location is excellent, only 5 minutes from a tram station, around 10 minutes from Dam Square.
The "shared toilet" situation is quite uncomfortable, specially since the toilet can barely fit an adult. The breakfast was quite poor, as the staff from the morning didn't seem too preoccupied in setting it up properly.
Bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was surprisingly clean ( esp for a shared bathroom). Not too far away from the centre.
One of the staff members ( the guy with the glasses) was very rude. He was very dismissive whenever we had any questions.
Very comfortable room, nice building
Shared toilets and showers
Breakfast Free pool table Friendly staff
No credit cards accepted (they told us it's a problem from this website)
Comfy beds Clean room/toilet/shower Lovely welcoming staff Great location
Friendly staff and helpful, good location
Smell of cigarette in the room (because we were allowed to smoke in the room)..beds not very comfortable.and very noisy night..well I would only recommend this hotel for youngsters..
Double room, even small for a single person. Nowhere to put stuff, no chair, table, shelf etc. Stuffy and hot in summer. Shared bathroom not very clean. Whole place is very run down. Breakfast room way too small for the amount of guests. Breakfast offered no alternatives for vegetarians .eg cheese instead of cold cuts, only instant coffee. Staff not overly friendly or helpful.
staff are pretty chill and the lobby is nice. location is great. i love the flee market and the park nearby
breakfast buffet is a bit too shabby.. and the stairs are steep, beds are not really comfy
good location, near tram station.
only cash, no credit cards . that is inconvenient. noisy. poor room.
Very friendly staff, nice breakfast
No private bathroom
Quiet position overlooking the botanical gardens but a short walk or tram ride to just about everything. Free tea and coffee throughout the day. Staff very helpful.
Small room. The hotel atmosphere is a bit like that of a hostel. There are advantages and disadvantages in this.
it's more like a higher level of youth hostel than a hotel. If you think of it in this way you will be more satisfied and less complain. In the other side the location is not bad, just near the botanical garden and the zoo, you can see the other side of Amsterdam.
bad isolation from the noise. if you hate the smell of smoke, you should avoid this hotel.
Nice room with clean bathroom Good location Big TV! Nice balcony
Hotel has held onto £500 for first nights stay for over 10 days AFTER my trip Family hotel so wouldn't advise for loud groups.
