The staff were very helpful with information and service. We had to bring our car from England as we brought some things for our son who is staying in Amsterdam. We did not want to use the car over the weekend so it was very good to be able to leave it in the hotel car park and we thought that the charge was reasonable.. Also the hotel Bike Hire was very easy and we hired four bikes to get us round Amsterdam. The breakfast was very good and the hotel was for us in a convenient location within walking distance of supermarkets, shops and tram stops. Staff always able to give assistance to us first time visitors. .There was only one bedside lamp.

The location was excellent. The hotel was on the jump on and off bus route, which was fantastic. It was a 15min walk to the Van Gogh and Reijksmuseum, which was good. The breakfast was great. There was plenty of food and a good range. We had a twin room with ensuite. It wasn't a large room but the bathroom was very well maintained and cleaned daily, with fresh towels provided daily. Because there was no air conditioning we needed to have the window open which made it a bit noisy but it wasn't unbearably noisy..

It was near the Muzeum district. Overall, it was awful. The front deskman gave us keys to a room that was occupied, so security is clearly minimal here. The shower pressure got low, then really high which somehow increased the temperature and scorched my roomates back. And when I thought I lost a key card, they tried to charge me 10 euro. Don't go.

Bit pricy but not unusual for Amsterdam - good location on edge of inner city near Rikjsmuseum and tram lines. Rather basic breakfast served in hostel like breakfast room.

The elevator, not easy to find in the centre of Amsterdam; reception 24 hours open; very quiet, no noise at night The rooms are too small; I had no cupboard, it was a double given as a single room: it was too small for my own, if we wre two it would be impossible to stay

I liked the Hotel Linda because it was small and vintage (not all brand new). The bathroom was very clean and updated and had a tub. The decor of the rooms could be a bit updated, there was no art work on the walls,.

Great location near tram stop. Good breakfast, scrambled eggs, cold meats, cheeses, bread , Toasts etc etc. Small bedrooms as is normal in a city of tall thin canalside houses!. Helpful staff. Luggage storage for firsr and last day. Woild stay here again. Ps lift was working. Teatray in room would be nice!

The price was reasonable, and the room we had was more than adequate, but it was obvious that there were rooms that were difficult to access for seniors with baggage.... particularly on the 4th floor. Great hotel for the travelling backpacker, and younger set. Close enough to the canal traffic to be instantly on tour. Continental breakfast was more than adequate, and was a pleasant change from the austerity found in London.

The room was agreeable; being clean, well maintained and equipped with all modern conveniences. Despite specifically requesting a triple room with three separate beds upon booking we arrived after a long trip from Brussels to find we’d been allocated a small double room with an additional mattress. After explaining our predicament to a rather surly and unhelpful night receptionist we were forced to remain in the room for the night, although, in fairness to the hotel staff we were provided with a relatively spacious triple room by noon the following day. Nevertheless, the inconvenience coupled with the contempt of the night staff was frustrating given the somewhat inflated prices we were charged. Additionally, the location of the hotel is deceptively far from the centre of Amsterdam, approximately 40 minutes by foot. Whilst I acknowledge that the mapped location of the hotel was in no way misleading, prospective guests should nonetheless be aware. Conversely, the quieter, suburban area may be preferable to some visitors.
