Hotel Linda  

Nothing. The person at the reception was rude and very unpleasant. He gave excuses for everything that was not working and there were a lot of them including the lift, the stairs, the tv, the wiring. There are a lot of health and safety issues. And was all 'hot air' coming out from him one after another when asked about them. He should be sent to a charm school for intensive training for a very long time. The hotel also operates a no refund policy so once you booked you are stuck with it. Our hoiday was spoilt because of that. I'd stayed in 4 hotels in the UK, one in Paris before I arrived there and one after in Brussels and they were all very good but this one was simply disgraceful so I hope everyone should know about it before he/she books.

The hotel was clean, the breakfast simple but plentiful and it was relatively close to all the parts of the city we wanted to see on our weekend trip.

the hotel is strategically located close (2 minutes) to a bus stop for the city centre as well as within walking distance to the museum area

the room was a bit small considering that we were travelling with our young daughter and a baby coat was added to the room

The elevator, not easy to find in the centre of Amsterdam; reception 24 hours open; very quiet, no noise at night

The rooms are too small; I had no cupboard, it was a double given as a single room: it was too small for my own, if we wre two it would be impossible to stay

The price was reasonable, and the room we had was more than adequate, but it was obvious that there were rooms that were difficult to access for seniors with baggage.... particularly on the 4th floor. Great hotel for the travelling backpacker, and younger set. Close enough to the canal traffic to be instantly on tour. Continental breakfast was more than adequate, and was a pleasant change from the austerity found in London.

Location was good, close walking distance from the tram.

Rooms were small, price was high but inline with the rest of the hotels in this city and the other guests were very loud late at night

The room was agreeable; being clean, well maintained and equipped with all modern conveniences.

Despite specifically requesting a triple room with three separate beds upon booking we arrived after a long trip from Brussels to find we’d been allocated a small double room with an additional mattress. After explaining our predicament to a rather surly and unhelpful night receptionist we were forced to remain in the room for the night, although, in fairness to the hotel staff we were provided with a relatively spacious triple room by noon the following day. Nevertheless, the inconvenience coupled with the contempt of the night staff was frustrating given the somewhat inflated prices we were charged. Additionally, the location of the hotel is deceptively far from the centre of Amsterdam, approximately 40 minutes by foot. Whilst I acknowledge that the mapped location of the hotel was in no way misleading, prospective guests should nonetheless be aware. Conversely, the quieter, suburban area may be preferable to some visitors.

Nefunkční výtah, proleželá matrace, celkově zašlé vybavení.

Fiz uma reserva pela net baseada nos dados apresentados em fotos e descriçao dos comodos quando chegamos a amesterdam e demos entrada no hotel fomos confrontados com quarto sem casa de banho dentro do quarto muito diferente do visto nas fotos publicitarios fomos fazer a reclamaçao na gerencia e fomos deslocados para o ultimo andar com pessima condiçao de deslocaçao. A roupa de cama nao constava o lençol somente um edredao que parecia ter sido usado anteriormente e que nao foi trocado nos 4 dias que estivemos lá. Desaconselho a qualquer pessoa que viaje a amesterdam reservar este hotel

Hôtel très calme, bonne literie et nuits réparatrices après des heures de marche! Bonne situation de l'hôtel par rapport au centre ville.
