The Acro Hotel is a unique hotel, situated in one of the most beautiful residential areas of Amsterdam.
Behind the facade of a large, impressive mansion is the Acro Hotel, a modern, functional tourist-class hotel with more facilities than you would expect from a hotel of this category. The Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum are all only a few yards from the hotel. Around the corner you will find the prestigious PC Hooft shopping street with its designer shops. The Vondelpark, Amsterdam's green heart, and the well-known Leidseplein entertainment district, with the Holland Casino, are in the immediate vicinity. The Albert Cuyp street market is less than a 10 minute walk away. Hotel Rooms: 65

Great staff, no limited delicious breakfast, lift, comfortable bed and bathroom, help with renting bikes. Wifi works only in and above reception, not in every rooms. In spite of lift, there are some unavoidable stars.

Location - very close to museums and Gewandhaus, also easy to travel into the city. Disappointingly noisy. Also, the room was small.

Great location very close to major museums. In quiet leafy street. Breakfast was ok. Staff were friendly and helpful Room was very small and very narrow - more like a corridor and the beds were consequently smaller than normal single beds. Although there has been recent refurbishment of rooms it has not been done to a high standard eg door handles falling off. Public areas and especially staires and corridors quite dingy and depressing

The location was excellent, right next to museum square. The rooms were modern and clean. Breakfast was plentiful. The bathroom was very narrow. Be careful because the wall tiles are very cold after a hot shower. Sometimes the shower head gives blasts of hot or cold water. This may be due to the tap design.

The best about this hotel was the location - quiet, yet in the city, close to the museums. The room was clean and updated, but the furnishing was minimal. The brekfast was simple, but good. It had elevator - I guess this is a big thing for the old buildings in Amsterdam. The two additional beds in the room were actualy chairs that opened to beds, but the kids said they were ok. It should have been noted in the reservation. The receptionist was not too interested in helping us, when I complained that the tv picture is fuzy (they have new flat screen TVs), he just said that is the way it is.

Excellent location, good room, friendly stuff, fair price. Good place to stay from b&b point of view. It was a bit cold in a room from my point of view (December, +3 outside). It may be a bit dissapointing when you return from raining streets to a cold place without option to make tea or coffee in a room. Bathroom layout is strange. My room was pretty big, really a lot of space, while some parts of bathroom were really tiny. For me (height - 180) it was just a bit annoying, but for 190+ person it might be uncomfortable.

The buffet breakfast was quite nice with a variety of options. THe location was excellent for visiting the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. The hotel was having some work done by the reception which made the entrance dusty and unpleasant, it would surely have made sense to close for two weeks while the work was done so as not to disturb residents. In our room, the bedclothes were dirty and the floor was dusty. On complaining the staff changed the bedclothes immediately and although they were clean there were still traces of hairs so the sheets could be laundered better. The bed was squeezed into the room and the bathroom was extremely small and had neither a window nor an extractor fan. It's fine if you're a backpacker but I think it should be advertised as a hostel, not a hotel.

The location is good enough, close to leidsenplein, next to bars, cafes and tram station. Helpful staff Extremely small rooms. We booked a triple and we got a twin with pillows and blankets for 2 persons only. It is very expensive for the comfort it offers
