Great staff, no limited delicious breakfast, lift, comfortable bed and bathroom, help with renting bikes. Wifi works only in and above reception, not in every rooms. In spite of lift, there are some unavoidable stars.

Excellent location - the tram stop is just a couple of metres away. The breakfast was sufficient - breads, cold meats, cheeses, yogurts and hardboiled eggs. The staff at reception were friendly and knowledgable about the area. Having read previous reviews regarding the size of the rooms, I was pleasantly surprised - our double room was more than adequate for the two of us. However, the bathroom was tiny. It felt like an aeroplane bathroom with a shower. It was really unpleasant, you could not use the toilet with the door closed and it felt like you were brushing your teeth in the toilet bowl. The bathroom's cleanliness also left alot to be desired - unidentified brown marks on the walls and in the shower. The reception area consistenly smelt like fish. The hotel is extremely noisy as there is no soundproofing for either the street or the corridors. Another negative were the extremely soft beds. I would not stay here again.

Good location. Next to museums and the concert hall; public transport to all important places. Very helpful staff both at front desk and at breakfast. Stairs to street level (and to the breakfast room) are very steep and difficult with heavy luggage.

Excelent location. Very easy to get to from the airport and close to all major attractions. Hop on hop off canal bus stop close by as well as bus and tram stops. Room was quite small but was not a problem as only there for three nights and spent very little time in the room. The breakfast was basic and did not change - again not a problem for three days but would not have liked it for a week.

Great fixtures, fittings, facilities, comfort, cleanliness, location. If service were notched up this really would be more like a 4/5 star hotel, just without the space. Service was a little unfriendly, but helpful nonetheless.

the room was nice, but very small, same about the bathroom. The location is quite good - near Van Gogh museum, Rijkmuseum, Diamonds` museum etc.Good breakfast, included in the price of the room. The double room was exteremely small for 2 people, it could be ok for one person, but for 2 there is no space to move. There is an additional tax which was not shown during the reservation. The hotel is quite far from the central station and if you have to catch an eary bus from the central station I would strongly recommend to choose another hotel, because there is only 1 night bus per hour passing at 3.40 a.m., 4.40 a.m. etc. The price of the night bus was about 4 euros per person and the taxi is about 20 euros from the hotel to the central station

Location is perfect, next to many museums and restaurants. Hotel is in very quiet street If price was 50€ as anounced in hotel's website, this hotel would be the best budget hotel in Amsterdam:) However it is too expensive for this standart. Breakfast is rather poor. Rooms smell terrible

It was even over our expectations. The location is great - near the Museimplein, at the tram stop and connection bus to the airport. Easy to get everywhere. There is a number of nice restorants around. The room wasn't big, but cozy and very clean. The stuff acts freindly and is always ready to help you. Breakfast was pretty good. The ladder is narrow and steep, but they have a lift so it doesn't make any problem. We are absolutely satisfied.

The location is excellent. We have small kids and we found the location optimal to two parks, museums, and plenty of family friendly food. The stairs are crazy (Amsterdam typical) steep but this hotel has a lift. There's no onsite parking but it's easy to park in front to drop bags and check in then drive about 10 minutes to the olympic stadium for 8 Eur/day parking that includes RT tram/bus for up to 5 people.

Poet Hotel was nice with nice comfy rooms - the bed was wide enough. Everything about hotel and rooms was fine. Hotel is like 100 m from Rijks Mueseum and 100 m from bus stop. Tho localization of the hotel is very good, 50 min walk from the very centre of the city. We had noisy neighbours, but that is out of hotels influence.
