Location, friendly, clean, Hi-fi, good value
Basic facilities only towels supplied in bathroom, bedroom had beds wardrobe, small table and two wicker chairs. Guests need to be aware of the stairs each flight around 16 steps at extremely steep angle
Location was superb
Too many stairs but after alot of sight seeing this seems to be very common . Also noisy with road works outside
There is no lift but well a lot of stairs!
The receptionist was so rude...! His first sentence is wanting immediately my credit card to charge the total...! Also in check out time and leaving the suitcases his rude behaviour continued increasingly....! Stairway is so high and The each stair's space was so narrow... if your shoe size is bigger than 41 it is very hard to stand....! Do not expect something extra...!
Really good position in the center of Amsterdam. The man at the reception was very nice and he explained to us where to go and what to visit. Wi-fi free and working well.
Close to the Dam square, Excellent price, Friendly 'homely' feel.
Large pillows. But then again, mine are wafer thin.
High steep stairs
Very close to city center. Big room and bathroom, great owner.
The stairs are a challenge :)
Location, is just 3 min to main squaire by walk. Stuff is a respectable man.
Stairs...... Unbelivable hard specialy when u arrive. And price ... Actually in amsterdam accomidiation is so expensive.
Very friendly and helpful service, great location near Jordaan (where we had many of our meals), solid value for what it is
Nothing really. Yes, the stairs are steep but that's Amsterdam for you. It wasn't a problem for us, nor was the street noise. Sleeping on twin beds pushed together was funny and less than ideal but ultimately fine.
The location is perfect, the owner very nice and the rooms comfortable.
The walls are thin so you can hear everything your neighbours do but that is the case for all old buildings in the center I guess .
Affordable. But you can find other hotels or hostel with private room at the same price, and better located and more comfortable.
Check out at 10am is terrible, I've never been in a hotel that I should do the check out at 10am in point. At 9h55 the man from the hotel called us in our room to say that we should get out. The room are a bit noisy, walls very thin. The stair in hotel is terrible. If you have luggage, we should know that you'll have to go up many many many steps and they're very small. The shared bathroom is really really small. They could have a small breakfast to the guests.
We arrived early and were made extremely welcome by the owners, nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay.
The owner was so helpful and allowed us to check in early. He gave us some great advice. The room was basic but so comfy. We had a great stay
The shower was a bit temperemental, but I am really being picky!
Location and friendly staff
Good value Friendly helpful owners Clean I would stay here again
to many steps to climb to the rooms
Extremely steep stairs and we had to climb 2 floors, but cannot complain as all the hostels in the Old Amsterdam neighborhood have the same structure and model for stairs.
very friendly & helpful staff, just a couple of minutes walk to the centre, a nice location, a shared bathroom was shared only by two rooms
a poor WiFi signal sometimes
Location was great Staff were very helpful Maps provided Located right near the ann frank house and other tours
Lots of steep stairs No TV in the room
rooms need AC, sweating bullets all night in the summer. didnt sleep at all
The stuff was very kind but the best advantage that this hotel has is the location!!
A little bit expensive, without elevator and very tiny stairs to get from floor to floor.
Went to Amsterdam as part of a trip around Europe. The hotel was basic and room was small like most hotels in Amsterdam centre. The bedding was very clean and comfy and the guy who owns the hotel could not have been any nicer. Great location: 2 mins walk to Anne frank museum and 10 mins from train station.
staff is very friendly.
