Excellent staff and location--comfortable rooms by European 3 star standards. Like many European hotels, the breakfasts are over-priced. |

The Hotel de Pauwenhof is a delightful boutique hotel. The building itself is interesting and the decor is beautifully done. We stayed for four days and we both enjoyed the ambience and found it very comfortable. The staff were charming and helpful. Important points for me were that the bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows supportive but not too hard. The bathroom was fairly spacious. In summer the courtyard area must be lovely. I only had a couple of minor issues which were fairly easy to cope with. No mirror in the room so you had to keep the bathroom door open or stay in the bathroom to use a mirror. I was shocked to find the hairdryer in the bathroom next to the sink. This must be acceptable in Holland but it wouldn't be in the uk. The bathroom floor gets wet because the shower screen is not big enough so if you are concerned I would take your own hairdryer. I did: but then the mirror question arises. Also the ceiling light in the bathroom is on a timer--probably a good energy-saving device, but can be annoying. Having said all that, I did manage and it was fine. It did not really affect my enjoyment of the hotel. |

Very easy access to the centre of the city. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. It was advertised as having wi fi but this was quite expensive at around 24€ per week. Across the road was an internet cafe 2€ per hour. |

The location was excellent and the people that ran the hotel were great hosts and always had time to point out the sites and recommend places to visit |

The staff is terrific. By american standards this is a very comfortable hotel. I was in room 214 and very impressed by the size of the Bathroom. Also, the scrambled eggs in the morning were perfect. Hotel Pauwenhof will be my first choice to stay at again on my next trip to Maastricht. My only request is that the hotel consider getting softer pillows. The pillows on the bed are too hard and not comfortable. |

The restaurant has too large a menu with too many options. We did not eat the fish dish (23.50 euro) because it was partly frozen. |

Excellent breakfast buffet as well as catering to individual request (soft eggs available but would cook them as you requested) Central location - very, very close to main square and restaurants and shopping. Beautiful diningroom - linens, cutlery, candles even at breakfast - relaxing and tastefully done. I would return to Hotel Pauwenhof in a heartbeat and sincerely hope I have that opportunity.Cappucino maker in bedroom. Large bathroom, iron and ironing board and extremely comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff - told us about the Saturday market which we really enjoyed! The parking was a bit expensive but it was secure and not far away. There wasn't anything i didn't like but I wish we had been told about the lounge area behind the diningroom. It looked out onto a garden space and we didn't discover it until the day we were leaving. I assume we could have relaxed there - there appeared to be the availability of a drink as well. |

The room was quiet and had a well appointed en suite. Was also a good location. The room we had was in the attic of the hotel and one bed under the eaves was difficult to access without bumping your head. Also lights were only controlled from side of bed under eaves, the person in the other bed had no access to light switches. Lighting generally was very dim and hard to see by. Feel the room was expensive for this standard of facility. |

We arrived very late and the staff accomodated this very well. In the morning they offered coffee+sweets as we were too late for breakfast. Very friendly and warm. Their 'in house' parking is a bit of a walk. Very safe though. |

Friendly staff, good location, and provided good information about the area with maps and directions. Room was clean and a good size for Europe. Nice coffee maker in room. The fact that I had to pay for Wi Fi. It costs the hotel very litte to broadcast, and should be included in the cost of the room. The KPN pay system had a weak signal and I could not get it to work. |

Zeer centraal gelegen hotel.

"Welkom in mijn hotel." |
