“ We had a lovely stay, albeit just for one night tho. The room was really pretty and had a lovely view of the canals out of a big opening window which was lovely to sit in and enjoy a drink as the sun set. ”

Great location. Easy access for all parts of city. Room was clean but could do with a spruce up. Expected a small room but the carpet was threadbare in parts, one curtain longer than the other(shorter one didn't come low enough to cover window), bare electrics at light above bed, continual noise of water running. I think that you are paying for the location not a great quality room.

We liked the staff as they always had answers to all our questions on what to do, see and how to get there. Also we really enjoyed the breakfasts. The stairs are steep but there is an elevator.

Very friendly staff, lovely relaxing hotel. Accomodation was very good, we had triple room on 2nd floor and we over looked the canal. Lovely wet room, which was big enough. We had a complimentary breakfast on the first morning which was a welcome bonus!! Very close to Rembrant Square just a short walk over the bridge and you are there. The surroundings were pretty quiet when we were there, but maybe in the summer it might be a bit more noiser. The tram stop was in Rembrant Square so only a short walk away. Clean sheets and towels. Very clean room. Very friendly staff they were very helpfull. Good luggage facilities before and after our stay, they have a lock up room, which was very convienent. All in all , a very good middle price hotel to stay in. Very nice toilitries in the shower room. Coffee and tea facilities in the room. Nothing whatsover.

The location and the breakfast. Also the staff was helpful and nice. The room is pretty small, everyone report this. It was difficult even to find a place to leave our suitcases. There is a permanent noise of the heater and WC which can annoy light sleepers.

Typical Dutch hotel, very friendly staff, comfortable and a large, delicious buffet breakfast. Is in a very central position with lovely canal view. Would definitely return. Only a small thing but we had booked a twin and double room for three of us. Unfortunately, only one room was ready when we checked in which was given to the single member of our party and when we got the second room it turned out to be a twin with the beds head to head! Obviously the rooms had been given to us the wrong way round at check in but not knowing the hotel we did not know the layout of the rooms. So check you have the correct room at check in! Beds were comfy nevertheless!

To say that the breakfast is rather special (which it is - especially the Dutch Apple Cake) should not hide the fact that the hotel is in a great location (especially for the Opera House) and is very comfortable and welcoming. What's not to like?

Location, staff and service was great. We brought our dog and everyone was so nice and accomiating. We had a wonderful view of the Amstel Cannal from our room. We will definitely be staying here again. The bathrom could have been better. It is very small with no counter space and an open shower so the entire floor (and everything on it) got wet.

A cosy atmosphere in a nicely decorated hotel, with its own style. Some rooms have a view to the canals. An unforgettable experience! There is no previous information about parking (location, price etc), so we did not know about availability and we parked somewhere else and payed a lot.

Small friendly hotel on a beautifull old house. The facade was covered w flowers and everything was nicely decorated w old furniture. The reception guy was EXTRA NICE ( Paolo ? Thank you so much. Kisses from me and mom.You made the diference). Location was wonderfull, very central and yet tranquil, very close to the flower market and Hermitage museum.Room was a small one,but nicely decorated and w canal view.( we got an upgrade). We had to leave very early and Paolo made arrangements for us not to loose the breakfast.( he gave us a pie, some yogurt, cheese ) We were able to go to the airport on time and belly full. I recomend this hotel.

Clean rooms, central location on a beautiful street, and friendly staff. Also, the included breakfast was quite good. Most of their double-occupancy rooms have only one bed. For some reason, even though we specified 2 adults and 2 children on the form when making the booking, they only received a request for 2 adults and 0 children. None of their 2-bed rooms were available, so we ended up having to stay in 2 rooms at double the expected cost. The woman at the desk suggested we always write in the comments/requests section that we are traveling with children. We will definitely do this in the future!

The hotel has good basic accomodation. Staff were friendly and helpful. The twin room with a canal view was clean and the shower was hot and powerful. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room was useful. The breakfast was varied with a selection of cereals, eggs, fruit, yoghurt, and pastries. The hotel is ideally located by a canal and just a short walk from the city.

The staff was friendly, gracious and helpful, rooms were small, but clean and all we needed. Breakfast was varied and delicious. We were always welcome in the dining room where cappacino and goodies awaited us at all times. The hotel was small and located ideally on the canal, within walking distance to all we wanted to see, museums, shops, railway station, etc. Paulo was unforgettable as our host.

Beautiful location, walkable to museums and old city center. Accommodations delightfully quaint meaning we didn't really care about broken lamp or cracked floor or tiny room. We wanted another night but it was booked.

A small friendly hotel near all the sights of the city. The double bed was exceptionally comfortable. Nothing specific but there was a lot of noise from the surrounding streets so a bit more sound proofing would be great but I understand the problems of providing that. The noise did not spoil our visit in any way.

The hotel was located central for all of the great sites to see. The room was small, but had everything we needed including an electric tea kettle. And we didn't expect a large room being on holiday in Europe anyways! The breakfast was great (croissants, eggs, juice, cereal, bread). The staff made fresh espresso for each person and made sure the food was continually stocked.
