“ II liked the whole combined Hotel and Restaurant concept which was simply practical. The rooms had air conditioning, tea and coffee and the Restaurants (both Asian) was simply pay a single fee and eat what you want which is very relaxing and enjoyable. I stay in more hotel nights than home nights and whilst this is not thRitztz, the simplicity is it's character. ”

At 30 minutes by car from Schiphol, Het Oosten Hotel offers a link to cities like Rotterdam and Den Haag. The hotel has both a Chinese and Japanese restaurant and free Wi-Fi. The fact you have a restaurant of good quality just downstairs, the breakfast was splendid for 7 € (fresh (!) orange juice, a good coffee, lot's of choice,...); clean, big room, awesome value for money. Although I picked it because I needed to be in Alphen aan de Rijn, I think I'll return there. Don't think there's much animo around but I was on business travel so didn't care at all.

Good room and shower. Friendly, helpful staff. We did not want the buffet so were provided with a smaller, cheaper meal in our room. There were no problems with restaurant smells as other reviewers remarked. We asked for a room at the back in case the road was noisy.

Air conditioning was good, nice big windows too. The room was terrible for the price. There were brown splashes on the wall behind the bed, the tv didn't work, the main light flickered constantly and the bedside lights were controlled by the same switch - so you can have all lights on or all off, which is odd. The safe didn't work, the shower gel in the bathroom was part-used, and there were no bike racks (very rare in the Netherlands!). The owners are clearly focussed on the restaurant downstairs, the hotel feels like an afterthought and feels a bit neglected, it has clearly seen better days.

The rooms had air conditioning, tea and coffee and the Restaurants (both Asian) was simply pay a single fee and eat what you want which is very relaxing and enjoyable. I stay in more hotel nights than home nights and whilst this is not thRitztz, the simplicity is it's character. The Rooms are built on top of a very busy restaurant and in the morning the smell of the previous night pervades the stairwells.

It had what we needed at a pretty good price. If you have a car, it is between several cities that are fun to visit. The restaurant was quite expensive for this caliber of hotel. In bathroom amenities were partially used when we got there. Couldn't get the internet to work.

I like the wok style restaurant and choice of food. The car park is not big enough for guests staying as well as people visiting for evening meals. Perhaps guests could have a reserved space. The television does not always work.

Really fast and free WiFi, convenient parking, funny chinese interiors, and in general very good price/quality ratio. Visitors of the restorant(s) occupy hotel's parking. No sampoo/shower gel in the bathroom, just a "simplest" soap. Next time will take my ones with me :)

Grande chambre. Parking gratuit, WiFi. Prix abordable. Personnel peu intéressé par l'hotel. Lit beaucoup trop mou et pas confortable. Hotel un peu perdu.

Wij hebben al een aantal keren in dit hotel gelogeerd. Comfortabel, goeie bedden, schoon, leuke steden, zoals Gouda en Alphen, en watersport mogelijkheden op korte afstand bereikbaar. Bovendien met een meer dan goed Japans Chinees restaurant, Aan te bevelen voor familie etentjes of groepen.

Eten was goed. ruime kamers ontbijt was karig , enkele platte broodjes .De koffie werd ook in kleine tasjes geschonken en was onvoldoende. Soms vrij veel lawaai van voorbijrijdende vrachtwagens.

Ruime kamer, redelijke bedden, mooie badkamer. Personeel is heel vriendelijk, tv deed het niet, receptioniste kwam direkt het probleem verhelpen. Goed ontbijt ruim voldoende en er werd regelmatig aangevuld. Het zéér drukke beroepsverkeer vooral 's nachts en ook op zondag. Ligging ver van het dorp, het bezit van een auto is, vooral voor ouderen, noodzakelijk. Dit hotel is minder geschikt als vakantie-hotel. Voor een paar nachten en zakelijk, prima!

De hartelijke ontvangst en service van het personeel. De (japanse en chinese) restaurant faciliteiten zeer uitgebreid en smakelijk De tv was out of date en functioneerde niet goed

Het was heerlijk rustig in het hotel, ondanks de drukte in het restaurant. Kamer goed ingericht, vrij ruim ook en lekker warm. De bediening van de tv liet te wensen over. Viel steeds uit. Verder was de kamer niet echt schoon: vlekken in vloerbedekking en op de zit-stoelen.
