Breakfast was awsum and cleanness.
Its little bit far away from central station.
Location Fresh towels Comfortable beds
Noisy rooms- corridors are tiny and felt like Piccadilly Circus. Don't go in a room opposite the lift! Loose shower head Small rooms Stairs are pretty much unusable and therefore you rely on lift which is slow Staff not overly friendly
nice, good breakfast, good position, excellent wifi, good staff
bathroom was very very small and it is not comfortable at all, with poor accessories. Kettle was dirty and old.
I liked the staff who were friendly and flexible
rooms are tiny and over priced
Everything from staff to food to bed!
Both night (actually early mornings the smoke alarmwent off.....showet steam??? someone smoking???? Anyway distressing and not fun !!!
Very small room, tiny bathroom, small corridors. The housekeeping started hovering at 8.30am Saturday morning!!
I liked the clean set of breakfast arrange. Not many kinds but very neat & square meals every morning. I heartily appreciate all the staff kept showing warm smiles.
Staff were nice
On the first nignt the bed sheets didnt seam fresh and and bottom sheet was not flat. Plus the shower room smelt damp.
small room price
the area around the hotel is ok (near Albert Cuyp-market), easy to get there (about 15min from the trainstation with the tram): you can buy your tramticket directly in the tram; How to get to the hotel: infront of the Amsterdam Centraal trainstation go to section A and take the tram-line 5 (direction "Station RAI"). Step off the tram at the stop "Stadhoudeskade". about 300m to your left side you will find the hotel; tramline 5 also takes you to the city center (e.g. Dam, Spui...). nice service-stuff at the breakfast-area
big hygienic deficits; could hear people when they were passing the corridor (noisy), someday we had to wait for a free seat in the breakfast room, pretty noisy when you have a room to the streetside (old windows), weak hairdryer, slow wlan; next trip to Amsterdam I would choose an other hotel!
-Lovely modern rooms with good facilities and comfy bed -Great location if you're happy using the trams -Lovely breakfast -Friendly and helpful staff -Tea making facilities make a great addition!!
Everything a little compact...not much room for manoeuvring in the bathrooms...the stairs are so tight they could be dangerous!! All negative points are fairly minor and in no way affected our stay or would stop us returning!! In addition...they are just because of the hotel structure and non changeable so really just mentioned for information and not as a gripe!!
Location is good, breakfast is OK for hotel cost
We stayed in basement with very small rooms (could not move inside WC) and right next to car parking where people were going all night just by our window; wifi in rooms was very unstable (lost connection every 3-4 minutes)
The room was comfortable. Lee on front desk was especially helpful!!!
A tad loud at night due to fraternity party.
Very Good location, room is nice, staff was great and breakfast was lovely.
Room was too hot in July , no AC , room is small and the bed matresses felt kinda cheap
location is not in the old town, but in a lovely nice area: tram stops very close, fleamarket just around the corner, shops and restaurand nearby
not very clean, not sound proof
The bed was good. The location was good for the purpose of my trip.
The rooms are rather small, but I knew this from the booking data in advance. So the room is ok for a short stay but not for a longer period. The lighting in the room is very bad, even with the reading lights switched on the lighting was not on a comfortable level. The room had a very bad smell, I had to open the window to the (busy) street and use a loose fan (as the room has no air conditioning) to get the room a bit more fresh. The bathroom is really small and has bad ventilation. When I was taking a hot shower I received a phone call from reception that the shower had triggered the fire alarm and if I could please keep the door of the bathroom closed. There is no separate shower, so you have to take the shower in the bathtub.
Close to Heineken experience and in walking distance from museum Quartier, the tea/coffee facilities in the room.
No air conditioning, the lift is very old and makes you think twice before you take it again. It is far from center, very few places to go for dinner in the evening. The room is very small, with no refrigerator. The breakfast room is very small; we had to wait for 30 min. to take breakfast, and when we got there everything was run out, and we had to wait again for the staff to bring us what we asked for.
good staff good breakfast nice rooms
if you need car park you have to order it with the reservation of the hotel otherwise you might not have parking space
Staff was extremely courteous, accommodating, attentive, knowledgeable. Great location, walking distance to everything. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was awesome: abundant variety and delicious. Loved our stay!
No Air Conditioning: stayed in July on a hot week, and the lack of Air Conditioning made sleeping very uncomfortable. That's my only complaint.
The biggest advantage was the location in quiet part of the city near the most important museums (Van Gogh, Rijks, Heineken...) without loud disco and music at night. To the centre of Amsterdam it was 40 minutes by foot through the charming canals and beautiful houses. Very kind stuff :--) Small rooms but modern and nice especially from the back side of the hotel. You can make coffe and tea in the room. Tasty breakfast. Near to tram (number 4) which goes in 8 minutes to central station. You can rent a bike.
Lack of air conditioning, it was very uncomfortable during hot days despite of small fan. For people how would like to keep some food in the room lack of fridge is also inconvenience. For someone it is ok but for me breakfast was monotonous - every day the same things to eat (but very tasty and in good quality).
We liked the location. Staff are nice and helpful. Very nice breakfast. The room is small but confortable.
There was no fridge or air condicioning in the room. As we were on the ground floor, we could not leave window open. They provided a tiny fan which was on all the time. The price is not cheap, it sjould have included AC at least.
location and price
room is hot when the windows are closed
