I stayed in a single room with shared facilities for two nights. Easy to find, great location, comfortable and fresh rooms and beds, iron, hangers, hair dryer and even bath robe are provided. Quite area close to nice brunch places. Single room is quite small, but ok for a sleepover and an evening and morning routine. I took a look at a double room - looked spacious and very clean too. Would recommend this hotel for any kinds of trips.
heating didnt work
The bed was very comfortable. It's nice to make your own coffee or tea at the room. Location is great, in no-time you're in the center.
The stairs were filthy. Some rooms weren't finished yet, so during the day the smell of paint/glue for wallpaper was very strong in our room at the attic. It was different then I expected. Felt like I was back in my old studenthouse. It's not really a hotel (yet).
it is not next to the train station but it is in a very area of den haag... next to Palaistuin and the nice and peaceful shopping streets...
There's a cafe next house run by the same people. The room was cozy and clean. The price for Dutch reality was OK. Friendly staff.
The room was really small, but clean. You could hear everything from the corridor. Shower is downstairs. Wireless internet only at the next door cafe, but for free. Breakfast was not included.
Location Price Check in through pub
Standard is a bit basic
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the atmosphere in general in the sitting area, the other people using the communal room were nice, the food, the location and the rooms with such comfortable beds. All wonderful.
We were taken aback when we saw the stairs, steep and with narrow step! We got used to it but it was hard for one member who finds walking hard. The location was good but the building works outside made travelling back and forth more difficult.
Small Rooms but clean!
Very, very noisy, because there are extensive road constructions! No free Wi-Fi service for hotel guests (I noticed that nearly everywhere, even in trains are free Wi-Fi, but not in this hotel!)
placed in center
paryty downstairs in the pub till early morning, next night construction work from early morning :/
location,close to centre, tram station
Location is good, very close to the city center.
The hotel is right above a bar. On Saturday the DJs in the bar played music till 4am and it feels like they're standing in your room cause there is no sound insulation.
Excellent location - very close to bars, restaurants and shopping areas. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. The group I traveled with will definitely return!
The staircase is typical of Holland and is quite steep - there is no elevator which could be an issue for some people. Although it wasn't a problem for the group I traveled with the late night music in the cafe on Saturday nights might be a problem for families with young children.
Clean and comfortable room, hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating; very helpful with directions when we needed. Location of the hotel is ideal and close to many landmarks in Den Haag.
Check-in was at the cafe below which was confusing at first. Also you had to go to the cafe to use the wifi.
This is a very well situated hotel, sadly at the moment there are roadworks happening in front. The cafe underneath has a great vibe &a good food. Comfy beds and nice light rooms.
Not a negative but just something to note - the hotel doesn't actually have a reception anymore. You must go in to the café Just underneath where the gaff will check you in. A bit confusing! No wifi in rooms.
good area,clean, cheap
Too loud! Too cramped! Dirty! Breakfast was a disaster.
just for a night sleep particularly for transit travellers
noise outside till midnight
nice common space in the bar downstairs,
Blanket, filled with genuine down; iron and ironing desk, tea and coffee machine in the room; shower; nearby bar.
Cheap Good Location Friendly Staff
Impossibly steep staircase
The staff were friendly and very pretty.
The huge building site in front of the Hotel.
Location was great for a city trip, staff friendly. Funky feel. Great for young couples and friends.
We booked the 2 rooms that specified they have a balcony, but when we got there, neither rooms had balconies, and we were told in the whole hotel, only one room had a balcony, but it was full. Not sure why I could book 2 rooms with balconies in the same booking, since they don't even have 2 rooms with balconies. We had rooms 2+3, and room 3's door wouldn't open, had to get the staff to open it for us and tell us how to "jiggle the keys and kick the bottom of the door to get in". There is no place to hang towels or place toiletries in the bathrooms. Room 3 also had a broken coke fridge in it and an old framed picture leaning in the entry way. Although clean, it seemed more like a storage room than a room ready for guests.
No wifi in room
Staff (and owners) were very helpful. Location is amazing, with lots to do nearby, inlcuding great restaurants.
Massive construction project along the street was a negative. Hotel Room11 is (at this point - July 2014) a "work in process." I think it will eventually be great, but for now is a bit rough. This no lobby or common space, but the next-door cafe serves as a functional lobby and breakfast room. Some rooms are not yet redone and are pretty primitive!
