Hotel Victorie    

No me ha gustado nada del Hotel. Las fotos son totalmente engañosas. La cama es tan pequeña que tuve que dormir en el suelo. Los baños ridiculamente pequeños El buffet de desayuno era una mesa con una cafetera y unos pocos bollos de pan con charcutería. Los responsables de booking.com deberían visitar el hotel antes de recomentdarlo

Tiene una buena ubicacion, el personal es muy agradable y cuando he contactado con ellos por motivos de retraso avion o alguna pregunta sobre como llegar. Rapidamente me han contestado. Por tal motivo quiero felicitarlos.

Se descansa muy bien, sin ruidos. Desayuno aceptable.

No esta pa tirar cohetes sobre todo porque no resulta barato.

1- Tight 2- Rooms need a lot of services: Refrigrator, Phone, better room servive, a small table, carpets (all these unfortunately were not present in the room) 3- highly expensive for the serivices

Location. Room size. Excellent TV with English channels. Breakfast included.

Needs comfortable chairs.

Gratis Wifi uden pjat. Simpel opkobling uden alle mulige hjemmesider der skal godkende dine enheder først, og mulighed for at koble lige så mange enheder på som man har lyst til. Det fungerer bare!

Havde booket et dobbelt værelse og fik et meget lille kammer, hvor der fysisk på ingen måde kan placeres en seng bredere end 90 cm. Det var absolut ikke et dobbelt værelse. Desuden så havde de helt forkert navn på indtjekningspapiret. Både efternavn og land var helt skævt. Men receptionisten endte med at blive enig med sig selv om værelset.

At the reception they were friendly

The stairs are murderous, very steep, narrow and dark. They are renovating the hotel with the intention of installing a lift, but in the meantime the hotel looks very shabby. The photos on the website are misleading because they only show a couple of good bits.

Your "choice" questions were difficult for me. I was in town for 2 nights only. I chose the hotel based on the recommendation of a woman who lives right around the corner from it and with whom I was going to drive to Germany for a dollhouse show. That was the only reason I was there. Her recommendation was based on location and price because I am a budget traveler. My checked responses need to be taken as coming from a budget traveler - someone willing to pay for more "conventional" lodgings would not be impressed with Hotel Victoire but I was very impressed with their willingness to help, their friendliness, the free breakfast, free Wi-Fi and the cleanliness and obviously fairly new decor of the rooms.

I have to say, the bathroom was a little tricky. In order to get to the commode, you had to open the door, go in and sort of lean into the shower area, then close the door and you could then step over to the commode. But, again, it was all very clean and as a budget traveler, I've run across any number of quirky bathrooms.

The staff were friendly and spoke English. The best thing about it was that it was clean. The breakfast was filling and there was plenty of food.

The place is under construction and is a dump! Do not stay here. We traveled through 7 countries, and this was one of the most expensive and least comfortable and unattractive hotels we stayed in. If we could have found another hotel nearby available, we would have moved! Apparently there was some holiday in Amsterdam that we were unaware of, and all the hotels were outrageously pricey! There is no mention of it being under construction anywhere. The stairs are very steep to climb up and carry your luggage. The bed was soft. The noise of other guests at the hotel carried into the room as they went up and down the stairs. There was no parking nearby, unless you were willing to pay 3 Euros per hour around the clock. You could not open the bathroom door all the way, the bathroom was so small. To enter the bathroom you had to step into the shower partway. A large person would have a very difficult time using the stairs or getting into the bathroom. The bedroom was small, with very little room to move around the bed. There were very few places near the hotel to eat.

Perfect for a moderate price indeed i enjoyed my stay .

Its good in general, very nice staff; modest, but very nice breakfast; really good bikes to rent; as it is not the center of the city, its a quiet and peaceful area.

Expensive, but its Amsterdam :) We expected higher quality of hotel, E.G. plinths are not made thoroughly, walls were little bit dirty.. Etc. wc and shower were so small, one person could hardly squeeze oneself into it. It really is a fine place for a couple days.

Very well sited for the Rai as it is within walking distance or only a few stops on the adjacent tram. And being out of town and in a residential area, there are many local shops, bars and small restaurants that are very good value. The hotel is just installing a lift which is greatly needed as at the moment - to get to the top floor where our room was - there are 65 steps up a narrow spiral staircase. Not good if you have mobility problems or carrying a case. But despite that the hotel is fine and more than adequate. The rooms are basic Ikea-type but the shower was excellent. The buffet breakfast was very good and the staff friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.

Supermarket half a block away and the tram stop one block. Fast to get to the city center.

Breakfast was ok and the Hotel was well located for coming by car from the south. Hotel was clean and quiet.

Bathroom was a little small and the walls in general would have needed to ne painted.

Please avoid this hotel, if you can! We have the worst experience we have ever had while booking hotel thru booking.com! We were travelling late at night from Gent, Belgium to Amsterdam, to catch early flight from Amsterdam Schipol Airport. We have booked Hotel Victoria, got confirmation about booking and we have also wrote note to the hotel staff to expect our arrival arround 1-2 am in the morning. Since they have 24/7 reception, it should not be problem at all. When we arrived, we got immediatelly yelled at from unpleasant night receptionist, telling us how late we are and right after that he was wondering who we are? Who we are? "Dont you expect 6 guest." No. They had no info about our arrival, no info about our booking. I showed him our email, but he just said: " I cant help you, we are full. And you are too late. I cant do anything for you." We could not believe. Was he serious about this, telling us that cant help us at 2am. We were getting very unpleasant with him and at just this moment, when he figured that he wont get away with such a bad attitude towards us, he called his boss and did something for us - finally. Instead giving us our three double rooms, we stayed in 1 double, 1 single and 1 triple. Okey. Very unprofessinal, very bad experience, the hotel over all wasnt that good. No elevator and impossible stair case to carry your suitcases to 4th floor. Our room smelled from cigarette smoke and drain in the sink was stuffed and disgusting!

the boss is very nice guy, the breakfast is very great!

Hotel was well located, very close to the Trams which was conveninent. Staff was nice and helpfull. Rooms where decent, good enough to leave the bags, rest your heads and take a bath before taking off again.

Lack of elevator, stairs in Amsterdam suck period, they're tall and narrow but a minor detail. The hotel was a little pricy for the quality.

Location: not in the center but very well connected to city center and Museumplein; staff: quite good (except the manager)

Rooms ridicolously small, very dirty (room and sheets), dangerous stairs (no lift), the bathroom seems a prison's one. When I protested about the room size all that the Asian manager did was showing me a single room (built around the pre-existing bed, I suppose) smaller than mine and telling me Amsterdam is expensive

It's a budget / boutique hotel where they have tried to put in some trendy touches but are let down by small things like worn carpets on the stairs.

Shocking small rooms, horrible soft beds. I had to shower while holding the shower in my hand as there was nowhere to put it. I was awaken during the night by reception as they thought there was double booking. I left the hotel first thing in the morning despite the fact that my booking was for another 3 nights, and I still had to pay an extra night. Bottom line: shocking place, would never ever recommend it to anyone.

Slušná snídaně, místo blízko centra

V hotelu probíhaly opravy - opravdu místy jako na stavbě, navíc zcela neuspokojivá hluková isolace pokojů - slyšet vše vč. noci, starý nábytek /ulomená noha od stolu,../ Také platba předem ve chvíli, kdy se návštěvník ubytuje - i kdyby návštěvník chtěl změnit po první noci hotel, má již na 4 dny zaplaceno předem.
