For an informal lunch or dinner, you can visit our Restaurant La Terrasse. The summer months offer wonderful relaxation outside on the beautiful terraces adjoining the hotel and the dunes.
The other facilities include: the Kids Club, the spacious Van Diepeningen Lounge and intimate Van Houweningen Lounge, Bar Maritime, Jazzclub The Conversation, an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a Turkish steam bath, the completely renovated Wellness Centre with Health Centre and hairdresser, a pool room and Gift Shop. And of course our beach pavilion Bell’agio.
Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin is centrally located at only 20 minutes from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The hotel has a helicopter-landing platform for arrival by helicopter.
Restaurant Latour is Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin's prestigious à la carte restaurant and proud owner of a Michelin star. The restaurant is located at the first floor of the restaurant and has a spectacular view on the North Sea. The Maitre rules the restaurant and the sommelier cherishes the exquisite collection of drinks and will pour the most superior wines. The chef prepares the very finest of dishes. Restaurant Latour is an excellent meeting place for people with taste who appreciate an excellent kitchen while enjoying the beach and sea view.
Bar Maritime, situated on the hotel's first floor next to Restaurant Latour, derives its name from the stunning view of the terraces and the North Sea. Visit the Bar Maritime for your aperitif, digestive and above all, the sunset. The bar is also a good place for a quick drink or a chat with the bartender. The bar is famed for its tasty cocktails.
The club has a cosy seating area, a bar and a dance floor. Club Conversation is eminently suitable for throwing staff parties or receptions. The club is also the perfect room to start or conclude your meeting at Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin. A dinner buffet can be served for up to 150 people while parties or receptions for up to 250 people are also perfectly feasible.
The Van Diepeningen Lounge is situated on the parterre, opposite the reception desk. The Lounge is an ideal location to enjoy a cup of coffee, an aperitif and a light meal. The royal sofa's and couches directly invite to relax. The humidor invites those guests who really enjoy smoking a cigar to make a choice from the various selection of cigars. Next to the Van Diepeningen Lounge is a terrace where you can sit marvellous during the morning hours.
La Terrasse breathes a relaxing and informal atmosphere. With an eye for actualities and current themes, the chef and his brigade change the menu every season. The extensive menu includes various smaller lunch dishes main courses and delicious desserts. Depending on the weather, you can enjoy the outdoors from the beautifully situated terraces adjoining La Terrasse from the very first fine spring day.
At the seaside of the hotel, you will find our extensive terraces. Huis ter Duin's unique location on the dune tops means that these terraces are situated directly on the beach and sea. Adjoining La Terrasse lies the 'upper terrace' where staff will give you a warm welcome with a cup of coffee with home-made cake or a selection from the extensive menu for lunch, dinner or a delicious snack.
From the 'upper terrace' it's a few steps down to the 'lower terrace' where you will find the traditional wicker baskets, sun beds and Outside Bar. The 'lower terrace' opens at 10.00 in the morning and closes (depending on the weather) at 22.00 hours. Visit the 'lower terrace' for dishes from the special terrace menu which includes a choice of sandwiches, appetisers, saté, ice-cream, and much more.

We invite our guests to visit Beach pavillion Bell'agio, the hotel's beach pavilion, to enjoy the sun, the sea and the beach - and naturally Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin's renowned hospitality. If the weather allows, Bell'agio is open daily from 10:00 hours till 23:00 hours and on friday and saturday till 0:00 hours.
Bell'agio is characterised by its Mediterranean style, informal atmosphere and perfect service. Its summer dishes make it the perfect location to enjoy the sun on the outdoor terrace or in the refreshing coolness of the pavilion. At Bell'agio, you'll feel as if you were on the French Riviera while still enjoying the familiar hospitality and service of Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin. 'Contrary to many beach pavilions, we don't like putting an opened wine bottle on the table and letting our guests serve themselves,' says Commercial Director Stephan Stokkermans. 'We are a five-star luxury hotel and want to offer our guests the service to which they are entitled.' The lovingly prepared menu fits the Mediterranean style of Bell'agio to perfection. During the day hotel and transient guests can enjoy a lovely light lunch, in the evening an excellent dinner is accompanied by a gorgeous view of the North Sea.

The location and food at the restaurants was excellent. The Wellness Centre was excellent. The windows in our room were filthy, you could barely see outside, which was a concern as we booked a ocean side room. The breakfast was mediocre at best. The cook was not available for 2 of the mornings, so there were no cooked eggs. there were no outdoor services available at this time of year. If you wanted a coffee etc you had to go inside and seerve yourself. |

Initially I was given a room with broken climate control, and the clerk at reception knew about that at the moment of the check-in. As soon as I noticed that and complained I was given another room. However, why they initially gave me a room that evidently required repairs is beyond my comprehension. |

The bar and terraces on the dunes overlooking the sea are a wonderful on a warm day - a luxury and very relaxing experience as good as anywhere on the Meditteranean. Watch out for daily parking fees and tourist taxes - applicable even for babies. These add a lot extra to already very expensive room rates. |

Staff is very friendly, very service-minded. They are all doing their utmost to make your stay as pleasant as possible. It was pretty warm in the room and although there seemed to be an airco installed, this was not working in the rooms that we were staying in (for environmental reasons we were told which seemed like a vague excuse). |

The fact that the hotel is situated on the beach. The hotel does not have a personal atmosphere, the personnel lacks any personality (they are trained in school and show their lessons learned), the rooms are outdated, the bathrooms and towels look like rags. I have known the hotel for 45 years but it lacks everything a 5-star hotel should have. Fortunately the prices are low because of the crisis, otherwise.....Poor information about general hotel-, parking-, dining and beach facilities. |

Great location, excellent service, nice food, good parking (it's underground and it's cheap compared to other Noordwijk hotels or street parking), direct access to the beach. Although both the room and the bathroom were great size, they were outdated and in need of refurbishing. Also I found it too big with only two small and slow elevators. |

The staff appear to be very well trained. They are extremely helpful and friendly.Terraces are well laid out and comfortable. Parking fees should be applicable to day visitors and not to hotel guests. Free parking for hotel guests should be included as a service. After all, this is a 5 star hotel! |

All staff is very friendly and helpful. We stay in this hotel to enjoy the nice weather in the garden area. This time (end of June) while the weather was nice, workmen were replacing the glass partitions near the garden area. This should have been taken care off during the low season. |

The location was perfect, near the beach. We had to wait too long for getting services, maybe too less people for the amount of guests.....The rooms need some renovation, especially the shower in the bathroom was not pratical. There were only two lifts and sometimes we needed to wait for a long time to get down as we were with our babyson and his stroller. |

Wij boeken dit hotel alleen als er mooi weer verwacht wordt; we maken dan gebruik van de ligbedden in de tuin. De strandtent Bellagio is dit jaar niet opgebouwd; het hotel wil een permanente strandtent bouwen, maar heeft daarvoor (nog) geen vergunning van de gemeente. Het hotel was compleet uitgeboekt en moest veel mensen teleurstellen met ligbedden aangezien de capaciteit in de tuin ver van voldoende was. Verder heb ik bijna 1. |

the hotel staff is very professional and friendly. Excellent restaurants. Service in general is of a very high quality. the bath tub was very old which gives impression of being dirty. I was also very dissapointed by the towels and the state of the changing room in the pool area. Certainly not a 5 star hotel quality. |
