Rho is on the edge of Dam Square, half a mile from Amsterdam Central Train Station. It has free Wi-Fi and the lobby is an impressive Art Deco-style former theater.

Myself and nine friends travelled to Amsterdam for two nights to celebrate my 21st birthday. We chose the Ibis Central Stopera as we preferred to stay in a hotel rather than a hostel & the Ibis definitely delivered what we wanted. The location was good as it was close enough to walk to the centre and also to the train station, but far enough away to not be too close to the hustle and bustle of the main square. The rooms were spacious with a great shower and comfortable beds. We were also able to leave our bags at the hotel before check-in and also after check-out, meaning we could enjoy more of the city. The Ibis provided everything we were looking for - thank you for a great weekend!
Staff were excellent. Could not do enough for you. Very friendly and a credit to the IBIS chain. Location was quite central to all and plenty of good restaurants in vicinity
Room had three people in it extremely cramped. Towels were very thin and needed to be changed each day, could not be used twice. Breakfast not worth money, not a great range.
Location was great, the room was clean and comfortable. We paid for an upgrade for a view of the canals
350 meters to trolley and metro.and internet connectivity poor
Location and small room
Staff, facilities, room everything else wss good.
Getting there. Long walk from raikway station, no public transport. Very slow check in 30 minutes wait.
Relatively central location easy to get to most places on foot from the hotel. Hotel rooms was very clean. Hotel staff cannot be faulted they are very helpful and friendly.
Nothing wrong with the hotel itself but the area immediately outside the hotel is very run down. A lot of road works and a derelict building right next to the hotel does make it look a little shabby.
The location was excellent 10 min walk to red light district, 15 to dam square and remembrant square! Beds were comfy and room was cleaned and fresh towels left every day.
There was no tea/coffee facilities in the room, and it was €15 a night extra if you wanted to get a room with them facilities.
enjoyed the experience so did my partner .great weather great atmosphere great hotel and city thanks would recommend .....
Very clean, nice staff. Would come again
City Tax not include in pre paid price so had to pay more on arrival
The room is all clean and tidy
The room is small and quite pricey
Basic but clean and quiet room. Beautiful city view from the 7th floor.
A little bit far from the bus stop and the city center but still ok.
need to have minibar
The location was nice. Everything was close, so it made it really comfortable. staff was friendly.
We specially asked for a double bed , two single bed put together is not a double bed. It was annoying and a huge mood-killer !!!! when u put a "don't disturb" sign on a door , it actually means that u shouldn't walk the f in ! which they did TWICE ! it took a while for the key card to work . it was annoying every time we needed to get in and we had to try a million time before it actually worked.
Nice view, clean, quality of sleep
One needs to use public transport to reach other places but it was easy.
The quilts in the bed were to warm for the summer season.
Location. Price. Hot water.
Paid €15 per night for tea and coffee making facilities. We got cardboard cups, meagre amounts of tea and coffee (we struggled to get extra) and no milk only that synthetic coffee creamer. Not good value.
Ibis seems to be "upping their game" these days and trying to present a consistent product. So far, so good. This hotel is in a great location close to shopping and sights. Friendly staff, nice, clean rooms and we really enjoyed our view of the canal from our room. Appreciated the coffee-making facilities in the room. Would definitely recommend this hotel to a budget-minded traveler looking for good service and a good location.
near down town breakfast good
the room very small
Location is away from the main areas but close we enough to walk or take a quick shuttle.
Lacks personalized attention and is more of a big hotel chain feeling.
The lady at the reception, (Bianca? not sure if I got her name right) was very very nice!
There was hair found at the toilet upon our checkin. Window curtain was dirty with ash on it.
Round bathroom was cool Buffet was reasonable Location
Check in time was 2 - we got there at 1:50 and could not get our keys until 2
location comfort clean
no free wi-fi no refrigerator
Nice channel view (if you are lucky) Walking distance to many attractions Very clean Soundproof rooms Safe place Smile crew Good breakfast
No fridge in the room No kettle in the room Small bathroom Garden closed very early
