Hotel ibis Amsterdam Centre is in the center of the city of Amsterdam, right next to the Central Train Station and only 10 minutes away by foot from Dam Square. This 3-star hotel has non-smoking...
Score from 2781 reviews Good
Rho is on the edge of Dam Square, half a mile from Amsterdam Central Train Station. It has free Wi-Fi and the lobby is an impressive Art Deco-style former theater.
Score from 3728 reviews Very good
Occupying an impressive Art Deco building overlooking the Singel Canal, NH City Centre is a 5 minute walk from the central Dam Square. It features fine dining options, boat tours and a bike rental.
Score from 1600 reviews Good
Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Centre has rooms with free Wi-Fi and satellite TV, just a 5-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Train Station. It features a modern atrium breakfast room and a stylish bar.
Score from 3126 reviews Very good
The staff was knowledgeable and kind. The location, for a tourist, could not have been better. The 24 hr restaurant and bar was brilliant.
hotel was very clean and bed was very comfort which made me miss one nightlife in the amazing Amsterdam !!
hotel was little bit far from dam Sq, it takes about 15 min on track speed
The food when it finally came.
The service was extremely slow with one man only working.
Good hotel ideal for Rembrandt square. Friendly staff and good food available. Rembrandt museum close to hotel.
A bit too far from centre of town for me 15 - 20 minute walk. Nearest supermarket bar and cash point are a 10 minute walk away.
Room staff beds
The walk to the hotel also the picture of the hotel was different to the actual building where we stayed. Also building beside hotel a bit off putting plus road works a bit unsightly .
Friendly and helpful staff.
Very hot rooms. No air conditioning. And therefore a bad sleep. They were also ripping out the sidewalk in front when we were there so kind of annoying to get around.
Breakfast was excellent! and good value (we got a deal 12 euros) as much as you could eat and all very fresh!. The staff were very helpful and even though we would have missed breakfast on the last day, they organised a packed breakfast for us all
Work on the drains outside the hotel, there was a pump going all night
Clean room and location
Not much that I like about this hotel.
The towel too thin and with dark spot on it. The toilet a bit dirty or should I say not cleaned thoroughly. The service not so good as one of the staff have the "you are not welcome here" look. Not even a smile when I walked into the hotel. The breakfast was more expensive than Ibis Paris. Location is too far from the city centre which means a lot of walking for my parents.
The window with view of canal.
The construction in front on sidewalk.
Location. Close to Rembrandt, red light district etc. Friendly staff.
Rooms are really small. Organizational issues, they did not have a key when we checked in so someone had to come upstairs to open the door etc. No water in rooms.
Clean, close to centre, all the facilities required. Staff knowledgeable and helpful.
Arrived on an early flight and my room was available. I was prepared to wait of I had to but flying from sydney was desperate for a shower. The room was available but the charged 41 euro for early check in. The room was empty and ready at 8am so it was not a big deal to let me use it. I think the charge was very unreadonable. Late check out is different.
Location is perfect!
The staff is very busy and they are in hurry all the time.
Liked the location, good shower, nice view over the canal.
2 single beds pushed together, thin blankets, really thin stained towels, construction at front of hotel.
Generally very good – would have preferred a larger choice of bar food.
Disappointed to arrive and find almost the whole street under repair, right outside the hotel. Obviously not hotel's fault but looks as though it might go on for a while.
Hotel was very clean, very friendly staff and very accommodating.
We thought the bathroom was slightly small.
canal side room was quieter than the road side
Kleenex in the bathroom would have been nice
Close enough to everything to walk to easily but far enough away from busy areas to be quiet
Clean, tidy and great location. Room on the canal very quite. Helpful staff.
Room at the road side was noisy with road works (not the hotels fault). Air con broke first night but we. got moved to new room at the quite canal side of the hotel no problem by the Management.
Myself and nine friends travelled to Amsterdam for two nights to celebrate my 21st birthday. We chose the Ibis Central Stopera as we preferred to stay in a hotel rather than a hostel & the Ibis definitely delivered what we wanted. The location was good as it was close enough to walk to the centre and also to the train station, but far enough away to not be too close to the hustle and bustle of the main square. The rooms were spacious with a great shower and comfortable beds. We were also able to leave our bags at the hotel before check-in and also after check-out, meaning we could enjoy more of the city. The Ibis provided everything we were looking for - thank you for a great weekend!
Staff were excellent. Could not do enough for you. Very friendly and a credit to the IBIS chain. Location was quite central to all and plenty of good restaurants in vicinity
Room had three people in it extremely cramped. Towels were very thin and needed to be changed each day, could not be used twice. Breakfast not worth money, not a great range.
Location was great, the room was clean and comfortable. We paid for an upgrade for a view of the canals
good location, walking distance to most bars, restaurants, clean , tidy and comfortable
2 Rooms booked, only 1 ready when we arrived at 3pm, ended up with 2 rooms on separate floors after waiting around half an hour
If you are after a good value for money hotel in Amsterdam, this could be a good choice. It is at least 5 minutes walk from the nearest tram station, and really is on the wrong side of the central city for tourists. Staff were friendly, but this is a medium to low end hotel - so you get what you pay for.
Overall experience was a bit plastic. Towels are mean and thin, bed was very hard (although that is quite norm for Europeans - so may appeal to some). Shower temperature was a bit of a disaster... Very hard to regulate, and almost scalding at times.
350 meters to trolley and metro.and internet connectivity poor
