Clean, comfortable accommodation, within walking distance of all the tourist attractions. On tram line if needed and overlooking one of the pretty canals.
Noisy guests in small hours.
the staff were nice, helpful Location nice and quiet
location ok a bit far from Dam square, order taxy for 4.30 am but no taxy come till almost 5am to go to the airport I was kind of disappointed
I LIKED THE FACK THAT HAS PUBS AND FOOD PICK UP PLACES RIGHT OPP THE HOTEL AND WALKING DISTANCE TO MOST OF NIGHT LIFE PLACES
The location is excellent. The trams are easily accessible or walking works well. There are also all kinds of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff is kind, considerate and very accommodating. The hotel is clean. The little breakfast area overlooking the canal is charming. The breakfast is good and the coffee is very good.
The room (#2) is spartan and inconvenient. The bed was very uncomfortable. There is a mirror in the room, but it isn't located anywhere near an electrical outlet. Because of the odd bathroom arrangement (the shower is a part of the room instead of being in a special stall) there is no electricity in the bathroom. When the shower is being used the entire bathroom is wet. This also makes the floor very slippery all of the time. No electricity in the bathroom makes shaving, putting in contacts, curling hair, etc. a chore as there is no other convenient electricity in the room either. No air conditioning makes hot nights even more unpleasant.
Brilliant location is you have use the trams. Number 4 is on the door step and number 7 and a few others only a couple of minutes away. I will be honest I was nervous about staying here as the room was so inexpensive. But was pleasantly surprised with the twin room ... a little small but I was already aware of this by the photos.... Beds made and new towels provided each morning .
Didnt get told it was a different place than check in ... but only across the road Would have been nice for them to let us know where the shower was (2nd floor) we stayed on the 1st ... confused at first as we only thought there was a toilet ...
The size of the toilet and not a proper door.
I can't recomend this hotel.
Correct room not available on arrival, then forced to move twice during a stay of 2 nights due to staff error. No sincere apology given. Was offered coffee twice though.... Would be fine if in a cheap hostel but at this price you can find something of better value and with more helpful staff.
Relaxed and a bit quirky; central to museums & art galleries etc. Lovely location on canal. Good continental b'fast and very helpful staff.
Can't think of anything, really.
The only positives were that it was a great location on the canal by the tram station and the beds were comfortable!
The rooms were tiny we could barely fit anything in, let along ourselves. The toilet was to be shared by over 10 people and it kept braking. The wifi kept logging off. The stairs were so steep, hard to get our luggage up.
Kindly staff always ready to assist you. Clean bathroom TV Location
The bed was not very comfortable.
Central Traditional Amsterdam style Near Canal
Water machine not available during night
great location, friendly staff, bright rooms
The hotel is in a very good location close to the city and very close to the metro station
Steep stairs to go to the room
Location. Bedroom & bathroom decor
Thin walls & doors steep stairs No bar.
Too expensive for such facilities
Location, staff, clean rooms, good beds
It was cold in the rooms, small WC, old furniture
Location, near to all palces to visit,
The Hotel is very close to almost all turistic places. You can go walking everywhere. Great breakfast (not free, about E7,50), but you may have it untill 12pm with lots of options. Good bed and great shower.
Cleaning the rooms starts at 9am and there's lot of noise due to the cleaning. After this it's a bit disturbed to sleep.
Quite central so it's walking distance to almost everything, but far enough from the hoardes of tourists. Lots of good little cafes nearby and a great deli (Marqt). Tram stop right outside. Very quaint canal house.
We were asked if we wanted a top floor room then realised that it meant 3 flights of incredibly steep stairs. It's fine but not for the unfit or unstable. Also they have 2 locations so we were not in the main building but the other one was close. A phone would have been good.
Comfortable, good-looking exterior, next to pretty canal, friendly staff, easy check-in and check-out, new ensuite toilet/shower in room, comfortable beds.
Stayed next to staircase and got woken up with stomping feet. Terrible food and drink facilities; no tea/coffee facilities in room and vending machine (requires money) is locked up at 1am.
The room and the location
Bed was very comfortable. We received fresh towels everyday. We would go out in the morning and come back and our beds would be made and our room would've been tidied. The location was perfect, everything in Amsterdam is within walking distance from the hotel.
We stayed in room 16 which is on the basement floor so it was a little noisy at times but nothing we couldn't handle.
the location was pretty good, little bit out of the centre of town but easy to walk or get the tram there
The hotel was very noisy at night as the rooms are so close to each other. My room was awful in fact, I had a window above the toilet and that was all. I am used to roughing it somewhat but this was just to much
