At det ikke var så stort og den smukke indretning - virkelig god atmosfære og professionelle medarbejdere. Beliggenheden perfekt. der vil jeg gerne bo igen.

Der var nogle upraktiske forhold ift badeværelset og vaske kummens beliggenhed lige inden for døren.

Good location, in upmarket shopping area and close to Van Gogh and newly refurbished Reiksmuseum. Friendly relaxed staff on the front desk. Room had all you needed, flat-screen TV, safe, mini-bar but compact. Hotel close to bus/tram connections into city centre.

If the room was small; the toilet/shower was even smaller...but - to be fair - functional with good shower power. Wash-basin was in the main room by the door...a little strange but worked ok. Bed comfortable, but soft.

I loved the design of the foyer and the reception. The rugs and the lighting made it feel like a beautiful home away from home. The breakfast area was again stylish and the choice of having continental and cooked breakfast was really a treat. The chef was excellent and friendly. My room was right next to the lift and I thought this would be noisy and affect my stay but the room was very well sound proofed so I had no disturbance at all. The room was furnished with neutral colours compared to the reception and lounging area but it was still cosy and relaxing.

My room was in the basement below ground level so I didn't have much light. It also backed onto the garden and was the exit point for the staff taking out the rubbish etc so I didn't feel that I had any privacy and I had to draw the curtains. I tried to watch a DVD with the DVD player and couldn't figure out how to work it. They should have had an instruction manual for how to operate the TV and DVD player. They also needed to be an instruction manual for the Jacuzzi bath. I tried to use this and water sprayed out from the jets so forcefully that it ended up spraying all over floor and walls. I tried a few times and the same thing happened so I gave up. In addition black particles came out of the jets every time I turned the water on and was floating in the bath so it seemed that the system needed to be serviced and cleaned. I did not complain to reception at the time as it was very late in the evening and after all the drama I decided to settle for a bath instead and go to bed. This was meant to be one of perks of the executive room but it was a shame that I didn't get to use it. When I told the reception on checking out he cancelled the internet charges of 16 euros for the 2 days. However this doesn't really compensate for the extra costs incurred for having an executive room over a standard room. I am quite disappointed about this. The other thing that I must report is the lack of staff during breakfast. I went down to 7:30am on my 1st morning and there was only the chef taking the orders from the a la carte menu, cooking and clearing and re-setting the table. This I found extremely unfair and makes me question how the hotel treats their staff. The chef was literally running. Even with that he still remained pleasant. They needed to have someone waiting the tables as it was quite a busy morning with guests. This makes me feel uncomfortable about staying there again.

great location by all the museums and concert hall easily reached by bus/metro. charming, post modern decor, helpful staff. clean, good recommendations

The staff were helpful. The room was spacious by European standards, and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and everything was provided with the room from a jacuzzi tub, to a large safe that could hold multiple laptops. The location was excellent. The neighborhood was not too touristy, and was close to museums and restaurants, and within walking distance of many of the city sites.

Good sized rooms - once we had upgraded for a modest extra cost. Very friendly and helpful staff. Honesty bar - great idea.

Perhaps a little too far out of town for what we wanted, but still not more than a euro 20 cab fare from most tourist areas. Regular sized rooms are VERY small!

Good location close to the museums and antiques quarter.

Price quoted excluded some local taxes which we found confusing.

The location was excellent for transport, museums, parks. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Quiet area at night away from hustle of central Amsterdam.

The room was lovely but emphasis on design rather than practicality. No shaving point. Sink situated out of bathroom. Poor lighting around sink area. Left hotel with severe backache as bed too soft. Didn't bother to eat here as breakfast ridiculously expensive. Had full English breakfast with coffee for half the price in nearby cafe.

Great location, quiet area, close to the shopping district, beautiful design, friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean with comfortable bed. My room was actually upgraded.

Breakfast was overpriced, and wifi cost €8 per day.

The location is very good the hotel style is nice a nespresso machine in the room is a plus!

staff allowed early check in as room was free,this was helpful with an overnight flight from the States and two tired children. In addition, staff was professional and knowledgable of area. Hotel well situated in Amsterdam and highly recommend.

The convenience to the city and proximity to the Van Gogh Gallery.

The fact that I travelled half way around the world to see a Van Gogh museum and stayed in a hotel across the road and when I got to Amsterdam I found the museum was closed. By the time I walked the one hour to the place the exhibition had moved to it was shut and our itinerary did not us time to go back the next day so I cried for hours.

Everything. The room was a bit small but everything else is perfect. AC is available (unlike other hotels - AC is off in winter), amenities are complete, the room is clean and no noise during my stay there.

Rooms were clean and lager than expected and staff was incredibly helpful. The location was quaint, quiet and very close to mass transit line. We would absolutely stay again!

The location was fantastic--close to designer shopping street and the famous art museums of Amsterdam. Stayed in "family room" for 4 in basement,very compact and cosy and quiet. Thought the option to stay on in your room after check-out time for a few hours charged at a reasonable hourly rate was a great idea.
