This time I was happy with everything
Quiet at night (front-facing room) but 2 blocks from main tram (no 2/5 etc) and bus lines, as well as Rijksmuseum etc.
Shower floor not enough slope for water to run back during long shower.
Perfect base for exploring Amsterdam. The hotel is clean, friendly and affordable as well as near to the main attractions in Amsterdam (a large village rather than a city anyway).
Stunning room, extremely comfortable with pleasant, helpful staff. A little outside the Central areas of Amsterdam but this added to the area and hotel vibe. Still very easy to get everywhere however.
Very close location to the museums and shopping areas.
Quite a walk from the main regions of restaurants and bars.
We loved the jacuzzi bath with TV after a day of sightseeing. The bed was really comfy. The sink being separate from the bathroom meant one of us could shower while the other one got ready. OUr room had loads of space and was really quiet. The staff were excellent and I noticed there was always someone on reception and they always looked up and greeted us when we came in, which I found very comforting. The trust bar is a really good idea with a nice area to sit and have a drink.
Clean, comfortable and felt safe.
Had to pay extra for out stay as room we booked was not available
Because of a need for an early start to the airport I arranged check out the previous evening and this took over half an hour due mainly from computer problems.Such a delay might have made check-in time a concern.I am left with the impression that your problem, which could happen to anyone, was considered my fault! Another small irritation exasperated no doubt from previous difficulty was lack breakfast (small)
Hotel was lovely, polite and friendly staff, good location, gorgeous bathroom with Jacuzzi, coffee maker and very comfortable bed.
Nothing bad to say.
The location of hotel, in museum district, parallel to luxury shopping street. Kind staff. Decent hotel. Got good value for money on a Friday night . Breakfast was very nice.
Reception area is small and hectic, room has double sink right next to entrance instead of in bathroom. Room was fine, with nice bed. I did not like old fashioned carpet on the floor right next to entrance. It was ok, to my opinion, but not as excellent as described in the other reviews.
Amazing bed with huge pillows, we had a great hot tub, wifi worked really well, super location - can't be beat, very small hotel so it was really quiet and an intimidate fee - everything we were looking for in a romantic weekend.
Nothing really to complain about - room service closed a bit too early for us and breakfast was alright but nothing special for the price, otherwise excellent stay
Staff, Rooms, Location, free Wifi
I loved the location as I wanted to be close to the Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum. It's only a few minutes walk to these museums. The hotel is also easily accessible by tram and you can take a direct bus to the airport at a bus stop that is a two minute walk from the hotel. The bus ride was €5. Really convenient! Room was very nice with tea and coffee making facilities. Soaker tub with tv in wall also a nice touch. Really friendly receptionist signed me in. He was very helpful. Good breakfast but rather pricey. There's a bakery nearby that sells mouth-watering pastries and coffee to go which is a great alternative. All in all, really liked the hotel.
Sink in bedroom isn't ideal. I prefer it in the bathroom but I guess space is an issue. There should be better lighting in the area where the sink and mirrors are. Showering is also a messy business as the shower door doesn't keep the water out.
High standard; close to tram; great location for museums and park; nice and quiet; very tasteful and very comfortable. Staff so very helpful on reception desk. Great for walking to more central things in the Graachts.
Can't think of anything at all!
Great quiet location.
Wifi is super-slow, sometimes a little bit noisy between rooms/hallway, but it's an old building so this is expected.
I liked the nespresso machine in the room. Location is perfect if you're going to the museums. Really just a 2 minute walk to the Van Gogh.
I had to wait until 5 pm for my room to be ready. The woman at the desk was also a little rude about it. I was coming from an overnight, 13 hour flight and had to wait 3 hours for a room. I had even specified in my booking that I wanted to check-in early (2pm!). The bathroom was very small, and odd to have the sink in the room. The overall vibe was also too pretentious for me. Sorry, just didn't like it.
The JL No76 hotel offers everything we wanted! Close to Van Gogh, Stedelijk and Rijksmuseum ！ 20 minutes walk to the center or few minutes by trams or buses. It sits in a very quiet neighborhood, me and my friend felt very safe to walk in the night. Hotel room is clean, modern and comfortable. Really nice to have a cup of coffee or tea in the room after a long day. Yummy dinners in the restaurant, save us trip to go out in the cold. Staff are very professional and helpful! Will stay again next time visit Amsterdam.
Exspensive honesty bar
Great location; quiet, clean rooms and very comfortable beds. Fast wifi, too.
Close to Museums & excellent shopping
Great quiet location, excellent staff. Comfortable bed and spacious room
We were told that we could upgrade from a windowless basement room, commonly known as a standard room, for 10 euro to an above ground room with a window, on impulse I agreed to the option. However the room was located right next the lift shaft and was noisy all night. Got no sleep and had to leave early the next day. If you are going to offer an upgrade, make it better than the standard room. (No we're was it mentioned that the standard room was below ground level). Advised reception we were unhappy with the room, but they didn't offer any discount. Very disappointed, would not stay there again. Wasted our money.
