The NH Carlton Amsterdam is a 4 star deluxe hotel ideally located in the centre of Amsterdam, nearby the famous Floating Flower Market, Munt Tower and main shopping streets.
The hotel offers 218 bright bedrooms, 9 comfortable meeting rooms for groups of 10 up to 150 delegates, an Italian specialty restaurant named "Caruso", "Grand Cafe Il Girasole" and a private garage.

Ristorante Caruso has been given a culinary award from the Italian government, and is mentioned in the newspapers a lot because of its high quality.

The NH Carlton is located in the heart of Amsterdam on the colorful flower market and in the direct vicinity of the famous shopping streets and museums. You can enjoy the various shops that sell jewelry, clothing, books, antiques and more with their beautiful architecture while going out for a stroll.
It only takes 5 minutes to get to the central station (Centraal Station) and you can reach Schiphol Airport in 25 minutes. Amsterdam and its surroundings are known for the diversity in museums, art, entertainment and events, which you can combine very easily with a business trip. Amsterdam has something for everyone, you can visit the Rijksmuseum, Paleis op de Dam (the palace on Dam square), the Van Gogh museum or go to a musical or dance performance.
The city also has various things to do after a long meeting. One of the most known events is a trip through the canals, which can be arranged to include lunch, brunch, dinner with candlelight or a visit to one of the typically Dutch 'brown' cafés.

The staff was very friendly and helpfull

The A/C was not working well in the room, it was either to warm or to cold. The bed shets was also quite old and the beds needs an upgrade

The price of drink in the hotel bar was very expensive.

The size of the room it was a big one with an extra bed for the children with the same prize. No cars noise because the room was not oriented to the main street.

It has not all the advantages of NH hotels. For example, there was no soya milk for breakfast and no extra towels and soap for children, as in other NH we have visited in Spain and Brussles.The heating was a bit noisy.

A very good location, close to everything. The hotel has smoking rooms, although in Booking's site it's written that it's a non-smoking hotel only. Good news for smokers!

The hotel is a bit old (although beautiful!)... A renewal is needed, especially in the bathroom-toilet section.

Excellent porter service.

Our breakfast roomservice order was missing the second day. We had to convince the staff, that it was not our fault. After much effort, we were allowed to have a free breakfast in the restaurant. We felt that they called us liars. Also, finding the garage was a bit of problem; reception desk was not able to give correct directions via the telephone and no info on their website.
