This hotel is located in a quiet, residential street in the centre of Amsterdam. It is an ideal location from which to start your visit.

All major sights, such as the museums, squares, markets, restaurants, bars and nightlife are within walking distance. Public transport to all directions is also very nearby. We are looking forward to meeting you, you will be more than welcome!

Hotel information

The hotel is situated in a typical, converted, old Amsterdam-house and offers a wide range of room types up to four persons.
All rooms have their private facilities.Extra charge of 5% when paying with credit card (cash payments preferred).

After confirming your booking with a credit card, the hotel will check the validity of the card with a non-refundable EUR 1 charge.

Food & beverage

Our breakfast buffet, included in the price, is served from 0800-1030 in our attractive reception/ lounge area.
Weather permitting it can be taken in our garden/patio where you can also enjoy drinks we serve during the day and evening.

Gift orders such as wine+cheese, flower arrangements can be put in your room before arrival, upon request.

Room information

Due to character of the house, it has different room types, for 1 to 4 people. All rooms were recently renewed and are equipped with private utilities, except for the smaller rooms, that have shower, but share the toilet.

Area information

The Location Hotel Kap is situated very conveniently, in the centre of Amsterdam. It's just ten minutes walk from the major museums, the floating flower market, the Albert Cuyp market with its international range of wares, trendy shopping centres and, of course, Amsterdam's swinging nightlife. But it's also quiet enough for you to enjoy a perfect night's sleep, undisturbed by any hustle and bustle of the city.

An access code to the Wi-Fi internet system is available from the front desk at an additional charge.

The hotel has no lift.

Friendly service, helpful with information and generous breakfast. Quiet location that is also convenient to picturesque canals and cafes. Compact, quiet room with outlook over the leafy rear garden.

The mattress was not flat, but inclined to one side. I could feel the springs in the mattress, but I slept well anyway. The stairs are very steep, but this is part of the authentic character of the old building.

The hotel charged my credit card in advance for a small amount and it was not substracted from the total amount...

It's very close to the museum park, and it has quiet neighborhood.

The room had kind of bad smell which made me very uncomfortable.

The hotel staff was excellent - friendly and helpfull. The breakfest was good and rich. The hotel is situated in very quiet area.

Everybody in the hotel spoke English, and it was really good. And the location of the hotel is excellent, you are able to go everywhere by foot.

It would be good if the Hotel had a easiest way to take the luggage to the rooms, because of the stairs. But I have no idea about how this could be done.

I thought I also had a toilet in my room when I booked but I ende up having only a shower. Those things need to be clear.

Reservation was perfect as I booked, no mistake.

I think the price was not reasonable, considering the fact that the room had only shower and a TV. But that could be probably due to the expensive prices in Amsterdam, no problem anyway. Hotel breakfast is one type everyday a change may be valued by customers. Otherwise, it is a comfortable and cool place for someone to stay. All the minor things can be ignored. Let me say, it is fine.

The breakfasts are included in the price and they are excellent.

The stairways are more than a little steep, unless one is a mountain goat, but I think that is par for the course for the price.
