When I entered my room, I saw four beds in the room. It looks like a hostel not hotel.
Friendly, helpful staff (to find where to go), great location (walking distance of everything, including nights out)
Good location, friendly staff, clean and simple.
Very small rooms, shared toilet and stairs... Just 90 degrees :)
The single room was realy great for me. The location is very nice, 7 minutes by tram to the Dam Square. The Albert market is nearby.
Good location, close to Van Gogh Museum and Heineken experience. Very quiet neighborhood, and we got a very sunny room on the top floor. Very nice staff.
It is true that the stairs are very narrow, but it is common in the Netherlands.
Personel was very nice and helpfull when needed. Great atmosphere.
Shower water stream was weak
The guy behind the desk was very friendly - he helped carry my bag, printed a ticket for me, and offered breakfast options. The location was good - not super central, but well connected and an easy walk to the Rijksmuseum, Van Loon museum and the Heineken Experience (just around the corner).
The room was basic and no frills, however it was clean and there was a TV, basin and rail for clothing so everything you need. The shower and toilet were in the hall, which was inconvenient - however both were clean and easily accessible.
Great location. Very easy to find and get to from the train station.
Door to my room was hard to open, and door knob was broken. Made it really hard to get out of room quietly - especially in the middle of the night to use the WC.
Its exactly what it says on the tin, a budget hotel, but the cleanliness, location and excellent staff made my stay fantastic
Kind staff Good location Good for Amsterdam's standards but the poorest I ever have tried in Europe
Third floor with many stairs Almost no water in the shower Weak Internet Good for Amsterdam's standards but the poorest I ever have tried in Europe
The staffs are very nice and helpful. And that the building is actually traditional dutch style, you get a feeling of the steep stairs and the layout. Very interesting if you are interested in architecture. The neighbourhood is also safe.
My shower is in the room only seperated by a curtain. Kind of weird.
the price has been doubled because of high affluence in Amsterdam in September...
Great location. Close to everything. Great access to trams. Quiet street.
Steep stairs (but that's Amsterdam!) Slightly dated decor, but not too bad.
I like the personal service I get from the owner/manager, who is very conscientious in building his visit. He has made numerous improvements in the hotel which I would now rate as a good value for the cost given its excellent location, with easy access by tram to Central Station, Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein. An easy walk to Museumplein and to the Heineken experience. The buffet-style breakfast is good, including selection of fresh fruits, bread and rolls, along with meat cheese and hard boiled eggs.He welcomed me to the breakfast room early on my departure day.
Wifi signal could be stronger in the rooms. It is fine in the reception.
Good price, nice location, helpful staff, good Wİ-Fİ quality.
No air conditioner. No refrigerator. Vertical and narrow stairs (but keep in mind that this is standard in Amsterdam).
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and the Bed was very comfortable. Location is fantastic for exploring the city.
Awful stairways, almost vertical
Free breakfast and very helpful staff.
Did not have air conditioning. Do not recommend staying there in the summer months. Hotel does not have a lift or elevator.
Modest accommodation. Good manager, good location, good breakfast, steep stairs...........
Helpful staff, good price
The room was stuffy, but the neighborhood is apparantly quiet so no problem sleeping with open window. Wi-Fi connection was terrible, had to sit down at the reception to get network.
One of the best budget hotels I have ever been to. The staff was amazing and provided everything we needed all the time. The rooms were spacious, ventilated and comfortable. The hotel is just a few minutes far from Museumplein and tram station. Strongly recommend.
The location is perfect and the staff is lovely. Our room was more than suitable for us two girls and we had all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was nicely arranged and the staff took good care of each guests request. A very personal and very warm stay at KAP in Amsterdam!
The stairs are quite steep and probably not suitable for disabled people. But the staff is very helpful with the luggage!
Cheap, clean and comfortable. Quiet area.
Room has no toilet - there is a shared toilet on each floor. Wifi signal in my room was very poor.
The fact that is 10 min away from the centre by tram... Easy to find ... Clean and friendly staff
The only minus would be the narrow and steep staircase. If you return drunk you would probably sleep on the entrance floor because you won't be able to climb the stairs
Very nice and helpful staff! Helped with the luggages as very steep stairs and gave us hot water even they cannot give us a kettle.
Very steep stairs, should have informed or included such facts in descriptions (we are travelling with an elderly). Would be better to have a kettle inside the room.
