Hotel Kap  

Na een vermoeiende dag teruggekeerd naar hotel de bedden waren niet opgemaakt er waren geen schone handdoeken en niet voldoende toiletpapier. De beloofde wifi deed het niet in onze kamer Ontbijt slecht voorbereid duurde 30 minuten voordat we een broodje kregen

Locatie een 10. Het personeel bracht kleine onvolkomenheden snel in orde en was vriendelijk en voorkomend. [Eerder probleem met douche (zie klantenbeoordelingen) niet gesignaleerd; integendeel; erg goed]

Echte tegenvallers waren er niet. Enkele minpuntjes door oude inrichting en inventaris.

Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Goede matrassen en kussens.

De douche; echt een mini straaltje. Wel heet daarintegen.

Goede locatie. Geen geluidsoverlast. Stille buurt.

Toch een beetje "gammel" hotel. Ontbijt was zeer matig. Personeel deed wel zijn best om aan te vullen wat op was.

De ligging is redelijk gunstig. Niet te ver van alles en een rustige straat.

Bij een 2 sterrenhotel verwacht je geen luxe. Dus dat je een redelijk kale kamer hebt met redelijke bedden en een eigen badkamer is prima. Wat ik wel verwacht is dat het schoon is. Dit was zeker niet het geval. Haren in de wastafel die als je je tandenpoetst ronddrijven omdat het water niet goed weg kan. De WC was niet schoon. De douche had geen verlichting maar er was wel duidelijk te zien dat die ook niet schoon was. kalk en roest en vies.

Na de ontvangst was er geen hotelpersoneel meer aanwezig. Verder was de kamer nodig toe aan een opknapbeurt: een krakend bed, een druppeldouche, een niet schoon toilet.

Receptioniste was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Hotel zelf was tedoen, maar het ontbijt was zo slecht verzorgd, je hebt de tijd van 8/10 uur, wij kwamen om 9.30 uur en alles was al op!!!!! Bijvullen van de broodjes ging niet, deze waren op?!?!?!?! Kamer was netjes en schoon, alleen een muffe geur....raam opengelaten. of we nog terug komen in dit hotel????

Rooms very basic which I would class as hostel standard and not hotel. Our bedroom window had a big sheet of plywood instead of glass out onto a fire escape

Very friendly atmosphere, comfortable and clean room. Excellent stuff. The location of the hotel is very good: 5 minutes walking to the Museum square.

The stairs to the rooms were very steep and curved. Made hauling my luggage up to the room difficult.

The only thing I liked about Hotel Kap was its location in Amsterdam. Otherwise, there is nothing else worth writing home about! Its far too expensive for what it is, it should cost maximum of 20 euros each to stay here per night.

It was really disgusting; the room was small and the shower was not clean. The beds were comfortable but the hotel has no style, the breakfast is bad, there was only one member of staff working the whole time multi-tasking and it was expensive above all!

Toilet was outside the room and it's used by all people in the same floor. Some rooms have no shower in hotel. Room was very small. Furniture was old and poor. Breakfast was weak and poor. Hotel owners wanted extra commission (%5) for visa payment. Hotel didn't accept american express.

The walls are paper thin I could hear everything from people burping at the top of the stairs to turning over ( and more) in the bed next door The stair case is like trying to climb mount everest - I could barely fit my foot on the steps There is only communal toilets on the top floor where I stayed. There idea of their wake up call is to bang on a guest room door which wakes everyone on the floor. It was horrifically expensive for what I got - airbnb would have been infinitely better. The breakfast croissants were stale The TV was very small and reception was poor. A metaphor I used with my colleagues was a prison cell. There was no clothes cupboard

I liked the location of the hotel. It was quite neat to the Center of Amstedam at about 20 minutes walk. I also liked the breakfast which was quite good.

I didn't liked the stairs, very small and sharp. Also the cleaning was very poor.

Hotel Kap is located on the each of Centerium and so is a convenient to Amsterdam's attractions. There are two tram lines nearby. Theres a laundromat and post box nearby. I had a single room which was small and rather basic but ok. Breakfast was well done. I think you could sit in the breakfast room.wifi is available but not free.

There is no lift and steep stairs. While the breakfast room was nicely furnished, it was bit run down in the other common areas.

I'm travelling so much for work.. I'm an export manager of a Medical Company. Travel is my job, and I do in the best way. So, I can absolutely say that is the worst Hotel I staid. Cleaning is not good, employes are not prepared and the owner is not feair.. Please do not go to this Hotel.

It was close to tram service and in a pretty good location. The reception was friendly on my initial arrival. The skylight in the room was nice, and the provision of cycle rental facilities was also appreciated.

My room had several problems with it: the radiator was broken, the blinds didn't work, and the main light also didn't work! I understand it's a budget hotel, but still, the rooms should be in better condition. The receptionist started to refer to things as "too expensive" to fix, which I didn't really appreciate – I wasn't asking for satin sheets! The breakfast wasn't very good – especially the coffee – but better than nothing. The stairs were EXTREMELY steep, and there was no lift. I managed OK, but others would honestly struggle to get up them with any sort of luggage. As well, there were shared toilet facilities, which is OK, but they didn't place soap or hand dryers in them, which wasn't OK.

The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very good.

It was a very old hotel and way too expensive. I felt like I was staying in a room in the ymca. It was extremely small and while everything looked clean on the surface, it also seemed as if nothing had been cleaned deeply for quite some time. The stairs were extremely steep and narrow and it took a few minutes for me to take all my luggage up. Also, the toilet and shower were in separate areas which I was not told about. They were both in "closets" and the toilet broke while I was using it, spraying water all over the bathroom, including my feet. The shower had no window and therefore smelled like mildew. Overall it was a horrible value for the money. I paid 60 euros per night and should have paid no more than 15.
