Breakfast was not great at all. But this was only a small thing to us as we used to grab pancakes in the place beside the hotel at lunch time.
We loved the beds they were very comfortable. Staff were very helpful our favourite was Laura. Only downfall was we only found out we could smoke in our rooms on the last night after being told on the second night we couldn so that was a bit of a disappointment. Overall we are thinking about booking our next holiday to amsterdam and we wouldn stay anywhere else only the kooplemoleen.

The traffic noise went on throughout the night - no double glazing and the location of the bed in the room was not very good having only having one side to enter it
the location of the hotel suited our purpose very well

We did not like having no outside window. The window looked out onto a well and straight into another room opposite which meant we had to have the curtains drawn all the time.
Breakfast included in rate was good. It was useful to have a lift to take luggage up to your floor level, but it was very small (only 1 person plus suitcase) and rather claustrophobic.

It was a bit noisy but I wouldn't expect any less for its location

We were told there were hair dryers in the room.. so I didn't bring my own.. The day after I had a shower I realised there was no hairdryer so my partner went to the desk to find out the was one between the whole hotel and it was being used so that ment I had to go out in the rain with soaking wet hair! we paid for a double bed yet when we arrived we had two singles being a couple this was not acceptable when we asked at the desk they gave us a sheet to turn it into a double bed this was no help as the bed still came apart and the beds were uncomfortable, rock hard and the bedding smelt of mould! the shower and bathroom was filthy and the toilet was a very weird shape collected your wee or other meaning you were basically sitting in it which ment we used down stairs one toilet which was very modern and high class but was in the back of the hotel and hardly used so why not have them in the room? there was two vents in the bedroom one took out the air and one gave in freezing cold air from outside which we have to try and cover with a sock, towel and press the bedroom chair up against it as it made th bedroom freezing Nd gave my partner a bad back as it was on his side spoiling our only full day in Amsterdam! we ran out of toilet roll and when the room was APPRENTALY cleaned the next day it was not replaced!! not happy about this stay at all considering for an extra 40 euro's we could of stayed at the Victoria hotel which is high class and has a gym and swimming pool!

Originally when we arrived some sheets/towels were dirty but these were changed right away.
Was really close to amenities especially for a big group of young adults. Everything was within walking distance.the staff were extremely friendly and helped us find things to do/book tickets.
