Very nice hotel with great location near Leidseplein. The room looked much better than a 1 star hotel and the balkon was great though it had a view to a construction area. The staff was rather rude and didn't care about much. All in all a great place. |

venligt personale, dårligt værelse, dårlig morgenmad rengøring mangler, det skal der gøres noget ved, morgenmad forbedres,yougurt, grovbrød, cornflakes eller noget tilsvarende. |

Hotellet var ret nedslidt og tingene fungerede langt fra optimalt. Blandt andet virkede dørene til værelset ikke og værelset var snusket og indelukket uden vinduer. Det er for mange penge at give for noget der ikke er bedre end det var. |

For the price the hotel was a fantastic deal - we had a huge double room on the ground floor which was wonderfully clean. The breakfast was very much a dutch breakfast with bread, cheese and ham and coffee. We found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Of course the hotel is not luxurious, but it is an extremely good price and is in a fantastic location in the center of town. |

Good sized family room. Friendly staff. Able to leave bags during day. Good breakfast. Central location Entrance rather off putting, with a smell of smoke. Wires for lights in bedroom held together with tape, would have been a concern with small children |

You could tell that Kooyk is a budget hotel, but it was still clean, comfortable and warm, and the breakfast buffet was simple but effective and frequently refreshed. Location was brilliant, 2 mins walk from Leidseplein on a very quiet street. Room key card gave us some trouble but there appeared to be "a knack" for this. |

The area that the hotel was in was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. we had requested an en suite but was told on arrival that none of the rooms had ensuite facilities. The photo's on the website did not reflect the rooms in a true light. |

We mainly stayed in 1-2 star hotels in Amsterdam (Compared to the other hotels for the price.) Highlights 1. The lovely Staff 2. An excellent breakfast The Shower We stayed in a double with shared bathroom and the shared shower is just a room with the shower. What this means is the entire floor get wet and your clothes. It is also very hard to get dress (with out getting your clothes wet) after your shower as the floor is wet. I would recommend installing shower curtain and basin to create a changing area where your clothes don't get wet. |
