It was easy to locate and within walking distance from Leidseplein. It was inexpensive. It was falling apart inside, the shower was malodorous with mouldy walls. Generally very poor quality which wouldn't take much to rectify if they put in a little effort. |

the garden was nice and the location. where to start? let's just say that this is the hotel that caused my husband and i to swear that we will never cheap out on a hotel ever ever again. the first room we were given, room 17, was a poster child for a terrible hotel room: dark, damp, with a view on the adjacent wall about 3 feet away. we asked for another room and were given room 12, on the ground floor. |

Wonderful breakfast. Good location for attractions in city. Owner did refund 12 Euros of price paid for inconveniences. No hot water. Hot water heater was out on first day we stayed. They promised it was repaired for second day of stay, so we did not check out. No hot water second day. Shower room smelled of mold. Indoor/outdoor carpet in shower room always nasty. |

Staff was pleasant and the Rooms were of a good size. The Kooyk is a budget hotel with communal toilette and communal shower (Which I didn't know when I booked the hotel). The shower room wasn't dirty but both the shower gel and shampoo dispensers were empty. One night I've seen rats walking around the dining room table... not a pretty sight. Nevertheless the amenities weren't dirty. |

Good location, inexpensive. More a hostel than a hotel, rundown interior, very small shared bathroom, no window in room and gaps in the floorboards under the carpet, there are better places than this. |

Just right for city break. Close to centre and transport. Pleasant environment, and good surroundings. Staff friendly and helpful. Hot water off for two days, not good.Breakfast could do with more variety |

The location of the Hotel was very good for the centre of Amsterdam. 2 flimsy single sheets on a double bed. Smelly discoloured non-matching towels. No hot water in a shower which leeked into the room around it. No toilet paper after 7pm, torn off the wall shelves, blocked sink, electric burn marks on walls from lamps, dangerous electrical joints, dustballs in the corners, a mess in the garden which was off limits, and we had the best room! |

The checkin attendent was very nice and gave us an in room coffee maker since we had an early flight. Breakfast cook was rude and would not give us any food, not even an apple because we needed to leave before the 8:30 AM breakfast time to catch an early flight. The floor in the first floor hallway was unsafe/loose. Overall feeling of unclean. |

Bed was comfortable, showers hot and plenty of water. Could leave our luggage after check-out. Nice breakfast room. Great location. This is a budget hotel with little investment. The shower room smells, the toilet rooms are cramped and tiny, the doors in the corridors bang loudly, the decoration of rooms is tired and unappealing. But at the price and in this location it is a good basic place to stay. |

The location is convenient - its a short walk to the Rijksmuseum or the Van Gogh Museum. Its a one-star hotel but its comfortable and for Amsterdam I think its reasonable value. I think we ended up in a smoking room but that's probably our fault - we should have specified non-smoking. |

The location was very good, the staff were very friendly and helpful, as they let us put in an extra bed into the room. the room was large with a balcony. The staff came and knocked at door telling us it was checkout time at precisely 11am (checkout time). |

HEM Hotel Amsterdam is perfectly located in the centre/west part of Amsterdam, only 5 minutes from the RAI Convention Centre, World Fashion Centre and World Trade Centre. |
Hotel Westertoren is a charming family hotel situated in the center of Amsterdam. We are located very close to the canals of Amsterdam, the Anne Frank house, the Wester Church. |
Rembrandt Square Hotel offers twin and triple rooms in the lively Rembrandtplein area situated in the heart of Amsterdam. |
Right in the heart of the central canal district, the hotel’s superb location offers very easy access to all the city’s attractions, while surrounded by tree-lined canals and small cobblestone streets... |
