Surprisingly large room, better-than-expected breakfast, good location near trams, cheap. Pretty shabby room. Can be loud depending on where you are. |

central but quiet location, clean, friendly, good breakfast, quiet at night smallest shower room ever seen - impossible for child to use independently as so small, sharing toilet with at least 15 others, hotel in desperate need of refurbishment - run down look to everything. |

The central location was great. We were able to walk easily to Vondelpark, Van Gogh Museum, Riijksmuseum and only a bit further to Ann Frankhuis, red light district etc. You get what you expect out of a one-star, but the room was big, breakfast was good, hotel was quiet and clean. My wife and I and our two young kids enjoyed the hotel. The stairs are a bit steep, but I guess that's part of the charm. The room wasn't crisp and neat like other hotels I've been in. You cannot expect luxury here... it is a one-star hotel. |

I loved being in amsterdam, not the Hotel. Great Hotel location though! Our room was very poor. The bed was rock hard! The toilet was tiny, the position of our room was dreadful and it was cold in our room. |

Great value, large rooms with beautiful windows, good breakfast. Yes you have to share a shower and toilet, and the walls are thin ~ if you can deal with that, than this is a great place to stay! |

The room was reasonably sized and quiet for sleep and relax. The location near Leidseplain, Museum district etc made possible to come&go as one wanted. Several small things in the building and furniture needed fixing. The breakfast was ok, but some variation (& e.g. vegetables) would not have harmed. The stairs upstairs are quite steep, not suitable for elderly people. |

I liked the location of the hotel and the size of the room. The staff were good. It was a bit run down though clean and everything worked. |

Breakfast was fine Security could be better, we stayed on ground floor and outside door did not lock to garden, no where secure to lock away money and valuables, other than a polypocket offered at reception |

Checkin closes at 11pm however our plane did not land till 10pm but a quick phone call to the hotel & they were happy to keep the checkin open for us, which is good because we didn't get there till midnight. Not enough variety for breakfast or seating, however the manager did try his best to keep everyone happy. Shower area is really bad. |

The staff were lovely, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was tasty enough. So wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. Location is quite central also but along a quiet street so very peaceful in the evening. |
