The ambience, the luxury room and most all, the pianist in the bar ~ He was excellent. The evening meal was a little dissappointing but this did not spoil our stay. |

location, friendly staff check in & out cumbersome too much paperwork takes too much time I would describe it as inept , suggest that if guests use their credit card have special line for express check in & out, additionally if you want to offer free internet service in the executive level provide the computer without special access codes just provide the darn computer and make sure there is paper to print |

A grand hotel with first class service Was given a smoking room and woke up in the middle of the night ill. They kindly gave me a new room and everything was sorted. You could smell it on the bedsheets......awful.... |

Unprofessional staff together with insufficient numbers of staff in all areas. Customer relations element extremely poor.Did not get what we booked.Booked a twin room with a seaview but had to accept a family room with no seaview.Rooms not ready and reception resembled a srum at a rugby match.The third time of tring to book in I asked for the Duty Manager to avoid having to join the masses who were also trying to book in. We are well travelled and we have stayed in other hotels in Scheveningen and it is our opinion that the hotel does not warranr 5 stars with regard to the satff element |

beautiful hotel inside, great room with good working airco service at the terras is inefficient, but friendly. Breakfast is expensive and we prefered having breakfast at the beach iso sitting on "meeting room chairs" in the hotel. The terras has a great view but could be made much more luxurious with nice lamps/modern details etc. |

We liked our room very much. They gave us a familie-room which was very hugh and comforabel. The breakfast was also very very nice and the staff in the restaurant was very polite en helpfull Checking in after 15.00 pm, and what was really bad, is that the doors of the hotelrooms close with a lot of noise. Our child wake up serveral times because of the people next to our room came in, and went away for 3 times. The rooms are very nice decorated, but this noise really is a big problem and gives a lot off irritation |

breakfast was fantastic because of both the kurzaal and the buffet it is a bit expensive for just a weekend trip - i wanted to enjoy the experience for once and it was really nice but for just another weekend in scheveningen I would not book this hotel again |

Lovely location, lovely rooms, great atmosphere and food. Staff in the beach-side bar and deck areas often lose track of orders, aren't attentive to notice new guests who are seated, and are very defensive if you bring any mistakes to their attention. This is the one very negative area of an otherwise lovely experience. This is typical Dutch service, but it should not be tolerated at a hotel of this caliber. I get far better service from my local brown cafes in the Jordaan neighbordhood where I live in Amsterdam. |

Room seeview and silence, so no disturbance. Good relaxing possible. Fantastic location and historic building. Room was not ready when we entered the hotel. We had to wait for half an hour but were compensated with drink of the house. Gate to the beach was closed in the evening so we had to walk all around the larg hotel surface to the beach. |

Newly renovated rooms are very nice and our room had a lovely sea view. Staff well trained and very helpful.Executive lounge very good. No, there was nothing we disliked. However, I was initially charged a different rate from my booking and this had to be corrected. Needs better coordination with Booking.com to ensure booking rates are correctly charged. |

Excellent room and very friendly and helpful staff in an ideal sea-front location. Good value for money with the discounted booking.com rate we had. We booked a room only as other reviews of this hotel suggested breakfast was too expensive and very crowded. We found plenty of other places serving a good breakfast on the sea front near the hotel. |

The location of the hotel, a tram ride from downtown Den Haag, was nice. Smallness of the room, for the price. Noise from the beach discotheques until very late at night. |
