la cercania al teatro, el spa, el impresionante hall quizas se ha quedado un poco obsoleta la decoracion, ke ya no es ni en estilo antiguo ni actual y las habitaciones tal vez no son tan "espectaculares" pensando ke es un 5* |

Room recently renovated - excellent accommodation. Breakfast excellent. The taxi that the hotel booked to take us to the airport for 5.30am arrived without enough fuel for the trip and had to search for an open garage in the Hague. This then put time pressure on our journey. Not professional at all. |

Great view from the hotel room. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Not possible to have dinner inside the hotel since the complete staff was working for the guests eating outside on the terras that made a reservation. |

The building is still magnificent and the Kurzaal is very nice The hotel staff were generally arrogant and not efficient; service during dinner at Kurzaal was below standard although food was excellent. |

Wonderful bathroom Their is no space around the hotel, its totally surrounded with other buildings. But that's just the way it is in Scheveningen i guess. |

Several staff members (Inge, Ms. van Dijk, a reception desk worker who I failed to catch the name of) were outstanding. The hotel property itself is very nice, almost intimidating in the luxury it presents from a bygone era of elegance. Newly refurbished, the "superior" rooms were a bit on the small side, but nothing was lacking, and all was of superior quality. Breakfast buffet: food was sometime cool, coffee was hard to get, and sometimes arrived cold. Very poor service one day, which was totally at odds with the rest of the visit. Hotel bags were on display in the window, but not obtainable and Sunday day manager apparently did not feel it was his job to sort out a missing key. That's not a 5 star hotel behavior. These are trivial issues, however. |
