Charming small hotel. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The bedroom is small, but the bed is comfortable, and the shower works great. Breakfast was super. What more do you need? The stairs aren't suitable if you have any difficulty with your feet.

it was small very cute hotel. And it was very convenient to have a bar on the ground level. The hotel is situated just in the city center, which is good and bad at the same time... The location is great, however, if you want to stay in the hotel and relax, you can forget it. Because of its central location, it is very noisy! I spent 6 nights in the hotel and every evening from 19 till 22 the was a laser show projected on to the city hall, music accompanied this show was super loud. I do not know for how long they will continue with the show, but just keep in mind the other negative side of staining just in the middle of central square in the city.

The location of the hotel was excellent and breakfast at the hotel was good. The room was very small and there is no elevator. We did not know where to park and it was very hard to find the underground parking lot.

Just the location. Nothing else. This was the worst hotel of our trip around Europe, it just doesn't fit European standards, it looks more like an poor country hostel. It's not even a hotel, it's a bar with rooms on top. We were badly received by a unpolite employee, we were charged in cash in advance, we had 3 huge luggage and no one help us to take them to the 4th floor by stairs (no lift). They offer terrible rooms, the bathrooms has no locks and the wifi works only on the bar, and it closes at night.

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. I travelled over from Ireland and stayed for 5 nights. I was attending a conference and was alone. The hotel was good value and the staff were friendly. The location is great and there's a very lively atmosphere in the evenings. My room was small but very comfortable and had character. Breakfast was simple but adequate. I would definitely stay here again.

We were visiting Maastricht for the Andre Rieu Concert for the second year. Last year we were able to stay at La Colombe for the whole of our visit and had a very happy and memorable stay. The management and staff were interested in us and what we were doing and were attentive friendly and charming.throughout, Unfortunately owing to a mix up in our being notified of the Andre Rieu concert dates we were late booking our accommodation and sadly La Colombe was fully booked and we had to stay elsewhere. We did however visit regularly for drinks and food. and were remembered from last year. We were very well received and the staff and proprietor went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. . We were able to book for one night and as ever had a very comfortable and happy stay The hotel is perfect for those attending an Andre Rieu concert being just a few minutes walk away..

The location is excellent. 1.Noisy at night with drums banging in the square. 2.Can only check in at 2:00 PM because the room is cleaned at that time. 3. Staff very unfriendly. 4. The toilet is so small that the door can´t close if you are sitting on the tooilet

After reading reports I was a bit nervous. However I was pleasantly surprised. The Ritz it isn't !! But. Atmospheric .Friendly. Lively Clean. It is. I booked a double room for myself for the Andre Rieu Concerts. I had room 17 overlooking the lively Market Square. The room was basic but clean. Light and bright. To be honest if my other half had been with me it may have been a little cramped. The room was rather lacking in surfaces for a girl to put her bits and bobs like make up . But I coped. Although I overlooked the square it was very quiet at night. I didn't hear the disco opposite or the Market being set up on Friday morning. The staff were friendly and very helpful especially when it came to carrying cases down the stairs. Ah. That brings me to the stairs. If you are not agile they would be a bit of a problem. But this Hotel is in a very old beautiful building as are most hotels in Maastricht so nothing much can be done about the stairs. Breakfast was Continental. Included in the price and very good. Would I stay here again. Yes. Without a doubt. If I am lucky enough to go to Andre's Concerts next year I will definitely book this Hotel again. Maybe I would ask for the room beneath No17 so that I don't have 3 flights of stairs to negotiate. All in all a most enjoyable stay Thankyou Hotel Colombe xx

The location was excellent The stairs up to the rooms are the steepest and possibly the most dangerous I have ever climbed in a hotel facility. How elderly people manage I just do not know. There is no assistance in getting luggage to the bedroom The room was very small but reasonably comfortable The shower/toilet/washbasin were situated in an area of 5 square metres and you could carry out all three functions without moving a muscle. You had to be made of rubber to get any position on the toilet. A complete nightmare The shower area drain emitted the most foul smelling odour (similar to that of your urine after eating asparagus) and could only be dispered by either deodrant or a wide open window. You needed a broken nose in order to eliminate the smell This hotel should be visited by both Health & Safety & Environmental Organisations to assess both the stairs and the smells In previous reviews I have read these issues are mentioned and I can only totally agree with them. Should be removed from your promotions at once
