i didnt like it no tea no coffe in the room the is just to sleep
Excellent location, 24 hour access. friendliness of staff.
I didn't know it was an internal room -- no window. A bit cramped, no cupboards
Nice people working there
Noise from the kitchen in the morning. We stayed at the ground floor.
nice clean bedroom and hotel generaly
duvets on the beds and too hot. sheets are better in that the guest can then adjust the thermal insulation as suits his needs. Sleep suffers.
organic breakfast was excellent eco cleaning products beds comfy quirky design staff friendly great location 16 tram from station stops outside hotel
Good price vs other hotels
Poor breakfast Bed too soft (so personal)
Staff was super, breakfast was delicious, rooms were sparkling clean,
no a/c but opened windows to cool room, only problem....traffic noise no laundry service but laundry service was not far away
Large room Comfortable bed Great location
Staff unfriendly Expensive breakfast Food was not good
Attitude of the staff
Location! Nice staff. Exit to garden.
Below average facility - lack of trash bin in main room Laggy Internet connection Too soft mattresses Lack of soap No A/C
Central location, friendly & helpful staff
Front-side rooms are relatively noisy due to street cars & busses
Location. Rooms were very clean. Staff were very helpful.would recommend to others.
We could not leave our window open. The traffic was too noisy.
Just a stones throw from the museums this hotel is a great place to stay. Lovely decor and facilities.
My only problem was it was a bit noisy in the morning, but this should be expected when staying in the city. Apparently the rooms to the rear were quieter.
Excellent friendly and accomdating staff. Great location with all transport links on your doorstep. All main attractions within walking distance
Good position - 2 mins walk from Museum Square, but none of the city centre crowds. Comfy rooms, not too small, with working air conditioning. Great breakfast, with a small quiet garden to sit in. Opening windows! Now a rarity in the UK, don't know about the Netherlands.
location modern interior practical
room too hot bed too soft staff impersonal, cold, uninterested young sales people having business meeting on little terrace speaking so loudly about conscious concept that we couldn't understand what we were saying. They were unaware that they were acting contrary to what they want to achieve with the conscious concept as they formulated it during the meeting. They were totally unconscious of their anti social and impolite behavior. In general, although we are totally in line with the importance of living consciously, the concept of conscious living is much to explicitly presented in the hotel and becomes annoying.
We arrived at the hotel after an overnight flight and the front desk was very accommodating allowing us to get into a room early so we could get some rest. Very much appreciated! Housekeeping staff was great.
Everything is expensive in Amsterdam but the food items at the hotel were especially high. We found the same basic breakfast (13,50 euros at the hotel) for 9,50 elsewhere. Save your money and walk up to the Albert's supermarket for bottled water, wine, etc.
The tram stops are nearby. Meseums are at walking distance.
A bit of distance to the city center but public transportation is very convenient. A little bit pushy at recommending their breakfast.
Staff friendly & helpful, willing to help with our tickets for pre-booked venues.
Suggest make areas/containers available for hotel guests to leave their items to be recycled.
The first thing I noticed is poor overall ambience. It does not look to me sophisticated modern hotel, very poor quality carpet, ordinary wardrobe, hand washing liquid gel empty, breakfast ordinary very limited choice and very expensive (13.50 euro per adult), the milk and orange juice run out on second day, very untidy breakfast hall, no attention to the detail. The most embarrassing is when I spoken about juice/milk run out to morning staffs they refused to take responsibilities, both said they are NEW to that place and employees so refused to take responsibility and advised me to write poor feedback instead :)
Clean rooms, good location for museums, tram ride to anywhere else. Give you a free unreadable map.
No tea making facilities in room only in reception, where it should have been free for the price paid. On a tram and bus route so a bit noisy all night.
Located on one block from museum square - perfect place. Room was big. we did not try breakfast there.
Very pleasant helpful staff. We were able to purchase just a coffee and crossant instead of the full breakfast. Also had beer and wine for purchase. Close to museums and other cultural activities.
Not all rooms have A/C. We were originally assigned a non A/C room but upon request were switched.
I loved the location of the hotel. While it was not on a canal, I enjoyed the fact it was a little bit away from Central Amsterdam because we benefited from being in a quiet neighborhood. The hotel is a quick 5-minute walk to Museumplein and several tram stops that we used to get to all the major sights. Our room was very comfortable. It was a "family" room so we had a total of 4 twin size beds, with 2 of those beds put together to make a king. We also had a small outdoor patio space off our room. We also liked the concept of the hotel being environmentally conscious with their fixtures, amenities, and breakfast food offerings.
Our room was on the first floor very near to the reception area and just outside was a small building that houses an office and workspace for the staff. We could hear conversations out in the hall by the reception area and could see staff walking passed our room throughout the day. The lack of AC in our room meant that the only option for some fresh air was to open our patio door and curtains which then didn't give us much privacy in our room. It would have been nice to either have some windows or a privacy fence between the room's patio and walkway leading to the staff building.
bad odor in bathroom
