close to the highway, close to trains, very central location and close to nature there food was exelent aswell the staff in restaurant

didn't like the fact they didn't speak english to my fiancee at the reception they asumed since i spoke dutch they didn't have to talk english to her what was really upsetting my fiancee

Convenient for where we wanted to be. Reasonable value for money considering the location near the centre of Hilversum which is an expensive place.

Room a bit cramped but ok if you didn't have to spend a lot of time in it. Not much storage space for clothes etc.

I love this hotel.

Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, however there were a couple who were a little snobish. For a four star hotel the entire hotel lacks in many ways. We came a bit early prior to the check in time and it was great that we were able to keep our lugagge in storage while we went into town to spend some time before the room was ready. Upon arriving the gentleman showed us where our luggage was and didnt even offer to help bring it to our room- a four star in North America would always help bring your luggage to your room in fact on most occasions they will have it in your room waiting for you when you arrive. The room, the hotel overall needs updating-especially the room. We stayed in room 507-the lino on the bathroom floor was stained so badly it looked dirty-the vent over the tub had mold growing and the soap dispenser in the shower was very hard to press to get a little soap out. The mattress needs to be replaced and really a mini firdge would be nice as well as a coffee maker-as it is sometimes not so convenient when you would like something to drink that you always have to go downstairs to get it.

I would like tea and coffee faccilities in my room which was a little small. The bathroom also needed updating.

I liked the staff and the hotel's location, since it's literally a 10 minute walk from Hilversum's centre. The breakfast was pretty great too.

My room was on the bottom floor where basically anyone could just break into since the window didn't seem very secure. The room was too small and wasn't that clean either. I was a little bit disappointed as i was expecting more for it's hotel star rating.

Badly needs renovation. Old carpet, outdated bathroom, chipping paint on walls, uncomfortable bed, terrible view. Ridiculously overpriced wifi.

Staff is always friendly, doesn't matter what time of day. Really liked the shower gel and the shampoo. Location is excellent and on a nice day to sit down and relax.

Hotel could have tea make facilities in every room, people some times want to go the privacy of their room and read or a other relaxation.

- rare balk in kamer 210 (lastig om je bed in/uit te komen) - kamer toch wel aan de kleine kant - hotelpersoneel bij ingang netjes en behulpzaam, maar schoonmaaksters waren zaterdag om 8 uur druk (luidruchtig) op de gang aan het kletsen met elkaar, dus dat stoorde in je slaap; kamers zijn wel gehorig, dus dat was irritant, eerlijk gezegd...

Ligging

Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk. De locatie is mooi.

De kamers zijn klein. De voorzieningen in de badkamer zijn verouderd, de kranen en douche werken matig. Overal waar je kijkt zie je tekenen van slecht onderhoud. Ons raam sloot b.v. niet goed. Vergane glorie is een goede beschrijving. De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is ver te zoeken in het restaurant; 17.50 voor 3 garnalen op wat sla is duur en 7.50 voor een huiswijntje is wel heel duur.
