The room was big and very comfortable, the people very nice. The dining area was very modern and design and so was our room.

The hotel is not 5 min walk from the city centre as indicated in the hotel descritpion on the www.booking.com. That is completely wrong. It took us 30 minutes from the central station and we only took the tramway then. This is the only downside and I would not recommend the hotel for this reason. We stayed in Amsterdam just for two days and I chose this hotel because I thought it was close to the city centre.

According to the web site, extra bed for under 12 years old kids should be used as free. However, the hotel said it is only for upgraded 4 and 5 stars rooms. Through I booked this hotel, I could find this information, but because there was no information about the number of stars of the room I booked, I could not find my booked room was not the 4 star room. This hotel is 4 star hotel, therefore this is very confusing. The staff apporogized about this, however, eventually we had to pay extra 70 euro!

Very relaxing. Fascinating decor. Interesting public areas including library, art exhibits. Easy and quick tram links into town.

It was fairly local to the city centre a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute tram journey near by - a very unusual hotel we had the cheap rooms with the shared bathroom in the hall no problem with the room but no wardrobes it had the feeling of being a hospital or remand centre - however was clean and easy to use - price at 40 euro a night was high for a basic hotel but seems the going rate in amsterdam...

feels like an old prison remand centre - full of students - not worthy of a 4 or 5 star rating

Nice looking restaurant, rooms comfort is below 'normal' expectations. Certainly not recommendable for business people and comfortseekers, more for those that like architecture and somewhat different stylings.Prices are too high for the quality offered.

Low comfort standards: Curtain was not present (had to use a wood plate to blind the window), shower curtain not present, no carpet on the floor, somewhat 'different' looking people walking around atbthe entry of the hotel and inside....guests???

it is amazing place in so many ways!! we have stayed here 4 times now and we are still nicely suprised each time!! x

The staff and their attitudes were really excellent - very helpful and very polite. The restaurant was very good and not too expensive for dinner, but breakfast seemed very expensive for what was provided...although we enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel and its design was very intriguing and fascinating and I would certainly recommend it to other people. It was a really 'funky' experience. Thanks

We started in a one star room, which was rather too basic for us, but we upgraded to three star which wa fine, although the shower was quite cranky!

Le personnel de l'hotel est très agréable, les chambres sont jolies et confortables.l'hotel est assez ludique avec sa bibliothèque, ses expos, on a envie de s'y balader pour découvrir ce qu'il cache. Les sanitaires en commun et douches sont très propres et pas de queue pour aller prendre sa douche ! Un plus, le restaurant de l'hotel est bien et bon raport qualité pour les petits creux et boissons.

Seul bémole, les chambres de catégorie 1 sont assez petites et pas très agréables; esprit chambre d'internat ancien !

Een indrukwekkend gebouw met bijzondere kamers. De combinatie met cultuur fantastisch.

Indretningen var god og en andeledes oplevelse. Maden var super god og dynerne var fantastiske.

Ik voel me altijd thuis in het Lloyd.

Ik verbleef dit keer in het souterain waar het erg gehorig was en ik naast het bed geen ruimte had om iets neer te kunnen zetten. De TV stoorde.
