City Centre Hotel Mabi Maastricht  

Good breakfast good location for shopping. Little free extras cake and coffee and tapas in the evening was a nice touch

Mattress was ridiculously soft almost a water bed

Hotel Mabi is an excellent hotel in a very good, central location that is ideal for sight-seeing, shopping, eating and drinking. Particularly pleasing are a number of complimentary items, such as an early evening glass of wine plus olives, that make the Mabi feel more like home. We are very likely to return.

Whilst not unfriendly, the hotel staff are not perhaps as friendly as they might be. This is a minor distraction for an otherwise excellent hotel.

Location was good. Nice collection of sweets and coffee in the foyer. I like the theme of a movie cinema considering the location used to be a cinema.

Parking for your car costs €21 per day. Room doors had to be pulled/pushed closed as the mechanism closing the door has become lame.

The room was clean. The bathroom was always left spotless. Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection. We had a room towards the back and found it to be quiet.

My only criticism of the room would be the bed was horribly soft. So much so that after the first night I put the mattress on the floor which helped considerably but still not brilliant. I know I should have said something but we were unpacked and I don't really know what could have been done.

The feeling of hospitality in the Mabi hotel is great. In the afternoon there is complimentary coffee/tea and cake and in the evening wine and snacks. This means that everybody does use the 'salon' and that improves the atmosphere. The artwork in the hotel is great. I would stay again and recommend others to do so.

The hotel was special. Loads of details that made it stand out of the other hotels.

The location and atmosphere. They maintained the history of the building while converting it to a hotel which adds charm to ones experience. I've stayed here on three occasions and have always enjoyed it.

If you add up all the cost not included in the rate (breakfast, parking, city tax) you'll come to 150 EUR for 2 persons which I think is a lot for a small city like Maastricht. The location is very central but there is a coffee shop in the same street which attracts a lot of shady characters.

The location of the hotel is excellent. We were also pleasantly surprised by all the small attentions and the overal atmosphere of the hotel. We will definitely come back!

The best thing was the bed!! Very hard to find a proper double or kingsize bed in Holland - they're almost always single beds pushed together. It was also relatively spacious compared with most hotels of the same price. The complementary wine and olive tasting and the fresh fruit were also nice touches. It was comfortable and quite intimate.
