Great location, just few minutes to the Amsterdam Centraal Station, Oude Kerk and the Red Light District, Dam Square. No need to take any transport to get to the main spots. Good cheap hotel to spend the whole day sightseeing and come back for the night. Very good price comparing to the other hotels.

No free wifi access... During our stay there were some renovating works and there was problem with the water - a bit annoying especially when you have a shared bathroom at the corridor.....

I like the hotel nearness to Amsterdam Centraal Station, and the ease at moving around to the various tourists hotspots in the city. I feel it fair to give credit to the excellent breakfast served everyday of my stay, which is included in the accomodation charge.

The low remark for this hotel however is the steep and narrow winding staircase to my room which would not be comfortable for a lady of my age to carry my heavy baggage up to my room. The shared toilet is in the ground floor and you can just imagine having got to go down the narrow winding staircase when the needs arise during the night. Had I known the kind of peril I will be facing in choosing to stay in this hotel, I would not have opt for it.

The room was tiny, when u lay in the bed it folded up in the middle, this was the worst experience of accomadation I have ever experienced, I would never set foot in there again, there wasnt even enough room on the floor for our bags the room was so small, I was booked for 2 nites but left after the first, never again

some of the staff were a bit rude, felt like you were an inconvenience. poor facilities in room few plug sockets and t.v with one channel which was dutch news.

Friendly staff clean rooms perfect placement close to station

The best thing about this hotel is the location and that is all. You can reach Amsterdam Centraal station in maximum 5 min. Walk. Also the Red Light District is very close. I would recommend this hotel only to the ones who just need a place to sleep with minimum comfort. You can smoke in the room! Personnel was ok, can give advice regarding sorroundings. Room 10 at the third floor was very warm considering February temperatures so I recommend it although you have to climb a lot of steep stairs to reach it.

This hotel is very expensive considering the services is offering. No toilet/shower in room. I paid 90 eur for two nights for one room - single occupancy. The Wi-Fi is not free. Although the bed sheets were clean, the blanket had some burn marks and was not so clean. Room no. 2 is very cold in February although the heating was working. Very steep stairs to climb with a 20kg troller!

The staff was helpful and did all they could do to help make the stay more comfortable

The construction going on in the next building beginning at 7 in the morning. It was horrible and i didnt like staying in my room. The last night however i asked to be moved and the female working at the desk was more than helpful and accommodating.

The room was shocking,chewing gum and graffiti on the wall,the bed was filthy (room 9),alot of noise to be heard from other rooms,doors slamming etc,the hotel are not at fault for that part i am just stating.

there was no heating in de hotel and the windows are not closing verry well so it was verry cold that night

Central location and a good breakfast

Heating was broken on arrival Friday night did report on Saturday morning still not sorted out until after we had gone out for the evening, and we were leaving the following morning, since it was cold and had been snowing this was not great.

Got 2 hours sleep first night, single glazed window that isn't sealed next to one of Amsterdam's busiest streets. Room was very basic, no duvet just a thin sheet, floor boards creek , wifi signal barely readable and costs extra. Had to pay an extra 10 euros a night to upgrade to a room away from the street that was better but no smoking. I've been to Amsterdam 3 times now and this was the worst hotel by far.

The staff were brilliant! I don't know the mans name on the till, well actually both men who greeted me and my friends were so friendly and welcoming. The room was abit dated but I expected alot worse when reading the other reviews. The cleaners kept the room, towels and sheets in great order. The location was amazing. Right on the doorstep of amsterdams redlight, the atmosphere is shining very bright there and I loved every second.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. I was travelling with my daughter and felt very safe and secure within our room and the hotel. Access to free internet in the reception. 24 hour reception person.

The room was very compact but it was value for the price charged.

the noisy neighbours above and below. the uncomfortable bed. the tiny room. the awful shower. the lack of toilets/ there was ONE for the whole of the 3 floors, and that was next to reception downstairs. the heating was on fully, right next to the bed that you could only move a couple of inches due to the tiny room. the lighting in the room was awful/dim.

I enjoyed the position of the hotel, close to the station and dam square. Also a lively area in the evening.

I did not like the stairs, we were on the third floor with stairs like ladders to climb, plus rooms are very bare, quilts need cleaning!! Really a room just for sleeping, we were out all the time.

Great central location (easy walk from train station). Basic rooms as you'd expect for the price. 24hr reception with free PC with internet. Printed off my boarding pass for me (for free)! Reasonable breakfast: cold meats breads, bolied eggs, coffee, juice etc better than I expected.

We left showering a bit late one day (probably after 11am!) and there was no hot water.
