The location was excellent. However, the street noise made it nearly impossible to sleep. If it weren't for the noise this would be excellent in all respects. |

It was very convenient location It was difficult to find... the hotel stairs are a night mare and the street side rooms are in the area of a bar which closes at 4AM. This made sleeping with the noise very difficult. I would not recommend. The staff/ownership is well aware of the good and shortcommings of the hotel. The staff were terrific. |

Our room was close to the center of Haarlem and we had a very spacious room. The beds were very comfortable as well. |

We loved our breakfast and the beds were very comfortable. Girl/lady serving breakfast very friendly. Lighting in the room 'uncosy' and cold. Could do with more modest bedside lights and another light placed elsewhere in the room for atmosphere. |

Good location within the city of Haarlem, but then very quiet. Short distance to the airport bus, short distance to Amsterdam with the train. My room had a "mini" toilet and shower. No matter how careful I was, my head or body would hit some obstacle stuffed within the tiny space. No elevator, difficult stairs. |

It was clean, in the city but with a town feel. Not in a noisy area. Great location. Central to everything, close to train. Excellent choice all round. |

Very convenient for buses, trains and near airport. Very friendly owners, nothing too much trouble. Very pleased with service and location There were only main curtains at the windows and no vision nets which means that others can see through the windows unless the main curtains are left shut day or night when attending to personal care - dressing, changing etc.. |

Friendly welcome, including a drink each. I needed a cup of tea at the time, too, so it was perfect! Free WiFi throughout hotel, very nice room. Breakfast was quite pricey (we didn't have time for it anyway, so I can't comment on whether it is good or not). |

Excellent breakfast. Simple clean style. Friendly owners and staff. The room with balcony was large and wonderfully quiet. The beds were good but rather soft for us. |

Free internet and the personal approach by the staff. And also the excellent location. Well, it is pretty expensive for such a small hotel with bad view. A very poor breakfast is served for 9,-- per person. Only because the staff will make freh orange juice doesn't mean you can charge that much. |

Extra Clean room, nice size, WC's(toilets-private in room),good breakfast and handy to trains, cafes, sights, and town. Helpful staff. Would stay again! Overall -just wonderful-great time in this town, staff was helpful to point directions and tell things in area of interest- historical building. Saturdays was market day on the square with many vendors with excellent foods and others. We liked everything and operated by a very nice family. Good breakfasts and owners wanted to make sure everything was perfect. This is just a great place to stay, absolutely no complaints and the beds were new and restful. There is nothing not to like in this little hotel and this town. |

Hotel Malts is in an excellent location in the center of Haarlem, a short walk from the Grote Market. The rooms are bright and clean with no frills. The bed was comfortable and the linens fresh. The highlight of the hotel are the owners who are very friendly and helpful. I don't think my experience at the hotel would have been as good had it not been for them. Because the building is a listed property, there is no sign outside, so finding it was a bit tricky. I had to ask someone for directons and I was standing right in front of the hotel. There is no one at the reception after 4 pm so if you are the type that needs a lot of help, you might consider that. |

This little hotel, situated centrally in Haarlem, had a very inviting staff, clean comfortable rooms with good showers. The breakfast was also good, though at nearly 10 Euros pp it was a bit pricey. We'd definitely stay here again and will recommend this hotel to frineds. |

The hotel owner was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms large and spacious. There was free tea and coffee available when required which is unusual in a hotel, and much appreciated. The only minor downside is that to check in after 4pm you need to call. However, we called when we arrived and someone came within 5 minutes, so it's not really a problem. |
