The walls are paper thin, the beds are too soft and found dirty condoms under the bed. But if it's location your looking for well its cheap and cheerful if your high lol
The location is quite central staff was friendly.
at some point all toilets were out of order
No sockets about beds
It was an overall bad experience. We payed 140€ per night, and at the time of the booking we thought breakfast was included, but when we were there we discovered that quite recently they decided not to serve breakfast anymore, but we haven't been informed. The double room was very small, with really basic furniture (that is a table and a chair, with no bedside table). The window look on a small backyard, the curtain and many other furnishing looked patched up. We had a private toilet, but the washbasin was in the carpet-covered bedroom. They average cleanliness of the room wasn't the one you expect. Moreover they haven't cleaned the bathroom in three days, and the room was quickly cleaned only once. On the second morning we were awakened by a flush of water coming from the ceiling, falling onto our shoes. We pointed this out to the staff, and they told us they will have a look and fix it. Later on that day, when we came back to the hotel, the ensuing receptionist wasn't informed of anything, so we decided to sleep again in the same room, and on the next morning the water-loss from the ceiling reappeared (luckily it was our last day). Finally on the last morning a staff member knocked at our door at 10am, bluntly asking to check out, but the official check-out time was at 11am.
We can say that at least the location is great.
Bugs, stains in the sheets, smell, too expensive for what you get, no wifi in room, no breakfast
Have no complaints to be honest.
This hostel was perfect both in price and location as it's just a few minutes walk from a great party area. The staff was very welcoming and happy and I made a couple of new friends during my visit there!
Cleanliness clearly isn't a priority.
Cheap and good location
The bedroom was really tiny (we stayed in the twin room) and the shower curtain smelled like pee. The bedroom wasn't very clean, but was ok. The only real problem was really the smell of the curtain
Staff very helpful and friendly. Although there's no breakfast, you can use the kitchen facilities. It's not much, but it's cheaper then eating in the street
Checking out. Dirtiest hotel I have stayed in. Which hotel now days doesn't have wifi!?!
We stayed at the third floor that could be reached by ascending narrow scales. the room was too small with respect to the price.
The staff was kind enough and ready to offer their services.
The room stank! To be fair, I wasn't able to determine whether it was solely the room that smelt or whether some of the other occupants contributed to the foul odour. Nowhere near enough power points so it was difficult to charge my phone. The shower tap was broken off so it was difficult to turn the shower on and off and to adjust the temperature.
The room was way too simple, just beds and no decor, didnt look like a hotel. The room was in a separate building also.
Good location, ok clean.
Check in is at 2pm, and at 15h room still wasn't ready so couldn't rest a bit after lunch and had to go somewhere else
Location and it's quiet
Entry smelt of urine, very noisy building with thin walls.
Perfect for three guys for three nights who needed a clean and comfortable room in the centre near the bars and clubs. Even with a shared toilet and shower, it was all clean and I would recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget.
The beds are narrow, no protection on top beds, easy to fall down. The reception guy did not care at all about the needs of the customer. Place is not safe. You will have to sleep with your valuables in order to protect them. The windows face the busy street incl. tram. Extremely noisy. Please avoid this place.
Disaster. Nothing to like.
The staff is not nice & they don't clean the toilets and the showers... they charge you for the towels but they don't even change the dirty towels. We stay in a shared shower & toilet room and the shower smells like pee and in the toilet they never change the hand towel that stayed with blood for the 2 days of our staying. That shows clearly that they don't care about the cleanliness. I mean it was a towel with blood on it... for two full days hanging in the towel bar! Disgusting >.< You are not going to have WiFi in this Hotel so keep that in mind.
Is well located and the heating works so on winter you don't feel cold.
The tv didnt work and it would of been nice if we had a kettle but apart from that it was amazing :)
The beds were amazingly comfortable and around the corner from center
I don't know why it called "hotel". Its ridiculous...the room was never cleaned and didn't have wifi in the rooms. We stayed 4 days there and nobodys cleaned our room. They have machines with chocolats and beverages that didn't work, and they catch your money ! When i called the guy of the reception he said that the machines were from another enterprise and that the hotel didn't have anything with that...and he didn't gave me back my money! A suck place!
The location and nothing more!
The bed was not comfortable for a good night's sleep. Also there was water-logging in the wash basin.
The location was the best part of the hotel. All tourist attractions are easily accessible from the hotel including restaurants and cafes.
The sink was stuck. Cockroaches everywhere.
The conditions of the rooms are very low but perhaps is the price to pay in a low-cost experiance. I and my friends had a very good time there, although they don't served breakfast as promised, they refused to take care of our luggage after check-out and the staff is just generally unpleasant.
The location is extremely good in the centre of Amsterdam. The price. The independence of our apartment (as we have the only to rooms onde that floor).
Room's window was broken as it didn't closed properly so room was cold. Ketle was broken and I was charged to get hot water! Request via booking.com to get the room ready earlier was ignored by staff all though they were able to manage to get room ready before 12.
Close to city centre, bars and restaurants
Bed was rocky and uneven
Location is good and staff helpful and friendly
Please don't mention the staircase as a weak point as you probably will find those in every house in Amsterdam. The points for me were that both beds were quite unconfortable, too soft and bended too much. The carpet was not that clean, so wasn't the walls and curtains. These things always reminds you the price your are paying. So, in the end, it was ok and 7,5 grade is fair enough.
Localization is quite good, easy access and close to things you will like to explore. The staff team was very helpful, since tips about transportation until a borrowed adapter to my camera. If you are in doubt of something, ask them. Although they say the wireless just work in the commom dinning room, the wireless was working in our room in the third floor =) The cost benefit makes it worthy.
