This hotel is just beautiful, the bedrooms are uniquely designed, very clean & comfortable. Location is excellent as it's very close to restaurants, shopping & night life. The hotel itself has a lovely bar too! Nothing!

The decor was lovely and the room was very clean and well designed. The cocktails were good and the staff were friendly Having to walk through the dark bar to check in was a bit bizarre and the toilets for the bar were unclean

Locaton. The mattress was not good. Luckily I had twin beds and switched. There was no alarm clock or way to put in for a wake up call. The owner who lives on property would wake himself to call me, but was not keen on the idea. Darkly lit, could not read. Small windy steps and very hard lock to get in with key.I had to have help each time to open it. I am very seasoned traveler, and in good shape, single woman. I was put off by this hotel. Absolutely will not let you check in before 3. No hair dryer - remote does not work easy for tv. Gentlemen who works in bar, restaurant was a help and had good attitude. Best place for young people traveling thru. Not for small children.

It is located in the heart of Maastricht...just a few minutes walk we've seen so many stores. The design of the room is very outstanding yet comfortable.

With its Moroccan theming this is a very characterful little hotel. Our twin room was spacious, spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Staff all round were friendly and helpful, breakfast well worth getting up for and top-ups of tea and coffee were offerred without our prompting. I particularly enjoyed the Moroccan minted tea that the proprietor shared when making a pot for himself. The cabled internet worked perfectly (you need to ask to borrow a cable BTW) as did everything else (shower, heater etc) and the location, just off the Markt was pretty much perfect for the old town. We had no problems with them, but the stairs are, as others have pointed out, quite steep and there's no lift and so I wouldn't recommend Matuchi for those with mobility problems or heavy, bulky, luggage.

Quirky, beautiful Moroccan decor, very central, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Quite peaceful. V competitive price. Although beautiful, the lighting in room and in main bar/reception area is very poor and ineffective. Couldn't read the bill!

Location is great. 15 min walking from main station (which is good). Just off one on the main square. Room were ok. Everything very clean, nice people at hotel "reception". Strange combination of hotel + bar. No reception (which is ok, just not common). Bathroom private but outside the room. Very cold room (that day was quite cold but no heating in the room, maybe on warmer days it is ok). Bad too soft.

Hotel Matuchi is located in the city center. The room was very clean. The hotel include a cute arabic tabern with possibility to smoke Shisha and take some coctels. We couldn't use the wifi in the room because the room was in the third floor and the wifi signal didn't reach the third floor. Breakfast was not included in the price. The hotel doesn't have lift and our room was in the third floor. The prices of the tabern (or bar) are quite expensive.

Very simple hotel. It has oriental design, but I'm not sure whether I really need it. On the first floor there's an oriental (arab? syrian?) caffee, and once we saw there a group of maybe 10 muslem women in hijabs drinking smth and really behaving like europeans. It seemed to me funny :) It's ok if you just need a place to spend a night or two. In my case I had WC and shower separated, but that's not a rule, as far as I could understand, they have rooms with shower and WC. And of course - famous stairway. Not for seniors or people with disabilities. Not for wheelchairs.

Position very near the historical centre of the town. The room, dark and careless, despite exotical furnishing and half a ceiling hand-painted with a starry sky; the window, looking at a wall two meters in front; the bathroom, with only one bottle of soap hanging on the wall (no shampoo, no other commodites), only two towels and faulty water taps for the shower; the beds, with mattres that had known the backs of many people; the stairs, incredibly steep and hard to climb carrying luggages... All these things are maybe amazing, romantic and pituresque for young and/or strong people at the begininng of an holiday: but tragically wrong for me and my wife. And especially: we paid 85 €. For half a price we would have been undestanding and satisfied.

I love the Moroccan design, it was so unexpected! All the details really add the feel! Also fantastic location close to the main squares of Maastricht. The bar underneath is beautiful but as people leave late at night, it's not very sound proof as we were in the room directly above the main door. Luckily it wasn't too late so we were able to get a good sleep anyway.

Excellent hotel, absolutely beautiful room which stayed pretty cool despite being so hot. You cannot get a better location in my opinion for the city either, less than 1 block to a large square filled with restaurants etc. and staff was very kind. Wonderful! *It is very steep and narrow stairs up to the hotel room with no lift, which could be a problem for some. The hotel is attached to a hooka bar, which we didn't mind, but there were drunks outside all hours of the night, which could be annoying for some.
