Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Airport  

Clean, comfortable, internet and work desk in room, free airport shuttle. Very convenient for traveller with an overnight airline lay- over and who needs to be able to work in the room.

Pleasant "country like" location. Reasonably good nearby public transport links into Amsterdam centre. Good breakfast choice.

Poor pedestrian access to hotel (no immediate footpaths, poor lighting). Grounds surrounding hotel in very poor state if maintenance which gives a negative impression of hotel on arrival.

Location outside city, quite. Good restaurant.

They took from my card 187 Euro as warranty for 3 days, even I paid in advance the rooms. Was absurd because I can spend that amount just for phone calls or TV. Minibar was empty. After 2 days I still wait that money back.

Reception staff was more then helpful on arrival

Easy access to airport and city. They allowed us to check in very early, which was wonderful. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The shuttle to the airport didn't start until 6 AM, which is a stretch as far as a "not like", but it was a challenge for us getting to our early AM flight. They were helpful in getting us information on the nearby bus stop, however.

Though the Hotel was going thru renovation phase, however the reception, lobby and rooms were in very good conditions, the carpet of stairs were needed replacement, however I hope this was in process. The receptionist and overall staff was excellent in supporting. I had a big luggage with me which was taken to room by hotel staff happily. The hotel has frequent shuttle service to Airport and a bus stop very near to its location for going to city. However it was a bit challenging while coming back to hotel, it is easy if you get to right spot from where you can find Bus no 197, which goes directly to Hotel bus spot. Rooms though a bit smaller in size were better the rooms which I previously experienced in City. City hotels have much smaller rooms even at high prices. The best thing was free Wifi for me, which worked fast. The check out was easy and shuttle service could wait for me for some time even. A good hotel for solo travelers and even for couples, Not for family.

The hotel is only about 15 mins by bus from the centre of Amsterdam. A service station next door has cheap eats and drinks. The hotel is quiet and clean.

No breakfast included. The shower screen leaked water all over the floor.

Staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Wifi in rooms :d Nice tub to relax in after a long day of walking around Amsterdam! I loved this hotel.

Free fast Wifi

I travel a lot, business and pleasure, Europe & Asia and this place is massively overpriced. It's a Motel. At Half the rate I paid, it would be almost acceptable value.
