Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Airport  

Close to airport. Quiet

I was lucky to get the room, only thanks to booking.com and their fast work, did I, the workers are every helpful, they pointed out area busses, besides the fact they had stopped working that area, the bed was nice, the bath was heaven after along walk.

This is not aimed at the hotel but Amsterdam, prices are in a way to high over all, with the inner city being priced out, the city could do with another intercity hotel just outside the inner part, of 1000 room priced from €100 and a pod hostel based on demand, I'm guessing you could start with 100 and in no time you would have 1000, it wouldnt be hard to under cut everyone, offer three levels of hotel service based on price of the rooms, and you cover all bases from motel, hotel to 5 star, and still have room for the underground ways of the backpacker, at least you can fit more it with pods and not rooms, and still make money out of the saved space,

Convenient free airport shuttle and the nearby local bus into the city centre. Comfortable, well-equipped rooms and very good breakfast.

Breakfast is something of a scramble if a bus-load of oriental touists decide to eat at the same time. The buffet is laid out in a rather confined space.

Convenient location for both the airport and the city, with a bus stop only a few minutes walk away. Lovely scenery as well if you like walking, very easy to reach the river and walks through the woods. Nice room service menu too.

Great quality for the relatively cheap price. Breakfast was really awesome. Easy access to Schipol Airport, which also has the train station - resulting in easy access to other main cities of Netherlands.

A little bit far from the city center.

They were all friendly. The room was clean , bathrooms were clean , free Internet .

The location is a bit hard to approach at the first time

Great trip. Staff extremely friendly and helpful - even stopped us before leaving on a city trip to Amsterdam to tell us about the places to see with kids. Room was perfect, large enough to fit 2 little ones and 2 adults.

It is, unfortunately, a little ways away from the city, but if you take the free shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport (comes every 30 minutes) and then the train which is cheap, you get there in a total of 20 minutes and don't have to worry about a bus trip. But can't fault the hotel - it was a great trip.

Shuttle to airport is a very good service.

Staff can be a bit more knowledgeable about way to reach Amsterdam.

- Location: bus 197 stop station to go to Amsterdam is located at 10min walk from the hotel for which the connection is done in 30min ==> Mininimum 45 min is needed from the hotel to go in the center of Amsterdam + costs of the bus (2€ per trip)

Fitness Room.

Absolutely empty frigobar. Unacceptable!!! The fitness room closes at 23:00. I went there at 22:10 and it was closed. Although very nice employees came to open it and turn the lights on, I see Mercure could avoid this kind of troubles to guests, only closing it at the right time. In fact I lost 15 minutes in this process.

I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and warm.

Only thing was the price of the breakfast - very expensive at €21.00

Convenient location close to Schipol airport and with frequent (every 30 mins) free shuttle to and from hotel.

Beware: They won't give you Accor A-Club points on your card unless you book through the hotel website - not through Booking.com for example.

It was fine.

Not easy to get to city center. Outside the hotel, you have to walk for 5-10 minutes along a quite high speed road to get to the bus. The pedestrian sidewalk is not visible. The hotel staff doesn't give clear explanations.
