The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful even though the hotel was hectic for Easter weekend. The hotel was a short walk to the metro station - seven stops to central station - so its location is more central than it appears on the map. The room was nicely decorated for a chain hotel. The area is a business district so, apart from being on the river, it lacks real Amsterdam character.

It was a clean and friendly hotel. The breakfast was superb with everything from fresh fruit juices, cereals, fruit, bagels, croissants, huge choice of hot foods you would expect to find in an English Cooked Breakfast. Rooms were clean and vibrant. We were a party of 11 and 8 of the party were on the 1st floor with no view whereas 3 of our party were on the 18th floor with spectacular views. The price of drinks at the hotel bar were the most expensive I have come across in the 'World'! But having said that, so were the drinks everywhere else in Amsterdam. (28 Euros for 3 drinks!!)

The services were excellent, that includes breakfast, room cleanliness. Even if it's a little bit far from the public transport stations (10 minutes walk) it's worth the effort.

The location near by the RAI exhibition centre was extremely good: 20 min by walk or 5 min walk + 5 min by tram (or by taxi). Also the connection to the Airport and to the City centre by public transport was good. Nice hotel, very good breakfast, cosy rooms, good service. Only the breakfast was invoiced first in double, probably a human mistake. I can warmly recommend this hotel to business purposes and will choose it again for my future trips to Amsterdam - even if the surroundings were not that attractive.

one of the lifts was broken with a huge queue as a consequence. As a regular visitor, I was escorted via some service lift upstairs. very good and personal service. They are trying very hard to give you a special treatment.

The Hotel is a very pleasant walk into Amsterdam Central, but is also very close to excellent city transport if the weather is inclement. Even when the reception was extremely busy the staff were very efficient at dealing with everybody. All in all a great break and wouldn't hesitate to return. Didn't like the idea of going around the back of the Hotel when it's dark especially if travelling on your own.

The staff were s friendly and helpful. The rooms are incredibly comfortable adn clean, and you don't hear any noise from other rooms, which is always difficult in a large hotel. We managed to get a discount rate as there was a hotel sale on, which meant that we got fantastic value for money. It was easy to find and close to the metro station. I would definitely stay at another Mercure after this initial visit! There is nothing whatsoever I didn't like about this hotel!

Nice foods and Hospitality. Value for maney. Some rooms don't have bath tub. If you want it, you had better confirm when you check in. It is far from city and has traffic problem where you go.

Overall the staff were good - good kitchen and nice bar area to relax during the evenings. location is okay for RAI - you can walk there when the weather is good - otherwise only taxis available to service the conference centre. I stayed in the older rooms which are a good size. For the city centre this is a bad location and poorly served by public transport. The lift system is very slow and often it is better to take the stairs if you are in a hurry, although with two towers of 18 floors it could be problematic if your room is on a high floor. The steam and sauna area is a disgrace for a brand hotel like Mercure.

Great room, great breakfast, free wifi, cheaper car park, nice meals in the hotel's restaurant, helpful staff. A bit far from tram station (about 5-10 minutes walk), a bit too long tram journey to centre (about 25 minutes), the bar a bit too expensive.

The hotel staff was lovely, the food was very good, comfortable and friendly bar for a quiet evening drink. good views all round. Unfortunately there was a 15minute walk to the tram stop which made it a little cumbersome for a city break. The tram ride was a further 15 minutes or so. A shuttle service from the hotel or a regular hotel bus into town (which one wouldn't mind paying for) would have made a huge difference. We have stayed in hotels where this kind of service is available.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The room was clean and convenient. We just wanted to spend New year's Eve in Amsterdam, so it was just for one night. As the hotel was not in the center, it was extremely calm and peaceful to sleep. Breakfast very expensive, but excellent though.

Nice clean rooms Our bathroom smelt like cigarettes. When we arrived we were told that breakfast was included in the price, but the next morning when we showed up for breakfast we were told it would be €25 per person.

Friendly staff, Nice clean rooms It's not that far to the station, approx. 5 min. I don't know why some people wrhite it is like 10 or 15 min walk. It takes 15 min to getto central station, not 25 min as some people whrite;))) A Little Bit too expensive, but it was my choice to book it despite of the price;) Parking 20 euro per night is too expensive.
