Hotel was comfortable and easy to locate from motorway. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was good and room was fine. Easy to get into the city centre and bikes were available to get out and about.

The room was pleasant and comfortable. We were pleased with the location of the hotel as it was convenient for the city center. We were very disappointed that despite stating on the website there were free bikes at the hotel, there were only 2 bikes available for all the hotel guests. The bikes were only available for us to use on one day and they were poorly maintained. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because there were bikes.

Business hotel, fairly priced, top location 2 mins from highway A7, A28 and ring-Groningen. Free parking facility + free WiFi. TV in lobby/bar with sports. Breakfast OK, not special, good coffee

The location is excellent if you come from the motorway. It is clean and very modern. The bathroom is new and and has everything one needs. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much. The breakfast for 16,50 € is very expensive.

The parking is free and convenient. The Internet is free. The bed is comfortable. The breakfast is good and the tracfic in this area is quite convenient. The air condition is a bit too loud.

Single room is big enough. Bed is semi-double size. Loved that there was a water boiler for thee, coffee. Room was too cold, heater did not work wel while it was on highest setting. Had to use the extra blanket and wear my sweater. Price was too expensive for size of room.

Use of hotel's free bikes to explore. Easy to reach from city (train) centre by OV-Fiets (bike rental). Close to parks in the outskirts of the city. Adjacent to quiet motorway, though this can be seen as an advantage by others.

Good value hotel with clean modern and well designed rooms. Excellent staff who are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast very good too. Location is not very central but good bus service takes 15 minutes into centre of town

Quality of the room and its fittings and the car parking. The breakfast was not up to the usual standard of a Mercure - the eggs, for example, were so hardboiled, the yolks were blackrimmed and the whites an odd pinkish hue.

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is good, but they serve huge portions. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The Superior room is the exact same as the standard room, except for additionals things like a robe and slippers and some (Dutch) magazines. Not worth paying the extra in my opinion. Prices fluctuate wildly from week to week it seems.

Good location for business. Useful parking outside. Good to have wireless Internet included at no extra charge. I felt the meal prices were expensive for the style of restaurant, so I did not eat there. I have eaten there previously, and the meal was very good, but left me feeling that I had been charged too much.

The upgrade to a suite!! Check in was not satisfactory - staff most unhelpful. Room booked not ready- we were early so went away and came back to be told another hour!! Not many choices in Groningen!

Superior rooms good value and excellent views Staff unhelpful. Television was not working and it took two days before there was any action to fix it. Desk staff were indifferent to the problwm. I also had to present my "a" card twice before points were added.

Rooms very clean and comfortable, though double beds much more comfortable than single beds. Staff very friendly. Food good in restaurant though portions are huge! It's a shame that the restaurant stops serving food at 9:30 pm and then Room service stops at 10:00 pm - after a long journey and arriving at 10pm on a Sunday night, the only food option was a dated sandwich from a fridge in reception or a chocolate bar. Also the breakfast is a little disappointing.

We like: atmosphere, staff, servicing, breakfast was very good - delicious and at good time - till 10:00 a.m. The hotel is near the center. I walked on food. One of the most important thing - air conditioning system is perfect!!! I was not having health problem with mine nose. Me and my husband are relly pleased staying at this hotel. Free car parking is a great ++++. The special offer about the price via Booking.com is a great +++++, too. If we have a need to be in Groningen again, we will choose Mercury hotel ! Thank YOU so much and we wish You to coninue this good business. ------------------------
