It gives exactly what is promissed. Very nice owners of the place. As soon you book you get an email describing you the Hotel and how to go at best to the Hotel..... ewerything very professional for that kind of a place. What I mean it is not a chain Hotel but they treat you much better. Rooms are very nice and clean, also verything else in the Hotel..... What to say, good choice to stay in Ansteram , I can only recommend all not to lose time to look for another place if they find empty room ...

Cozy hotel, excellent location, very nice staff, nice rooms, Some noise from the streets due to traffic/night life. Not a big problem though and probably only valid for the front side rooms.

The hotel is in a lovely Amsterdam townhouse with great views and central location. The rooms are beautifully decorated in individual designs and very comfortable. Great breakfast with homemade fresh bread, proper coffee in your room - overall a real delight if you want luxury but also something a bit different.

The owners were always present and amazingly helpful. Overall an excellent choice in the very small boutique hotel category. Can be a bit noisy at night

Fell in love with charm of Amsterdam and with Misc Eatdrinksleep. Could not have found a better place to stay. Rachel is a great map marker and sent us to all the places we wanted to see. Her restaurant picks were terrific, too. We will definitely be back and we'll stay at Misc Eatdrinksleep!!! Wonderful breakfast included in room rate! Fresh orange juice, breads, jams, granola, yogurt and hot foods if desired - expresso and Latte were exceptional! Friendly, accomodating staff goes out of their way for you, super comfortable bed and pillows, big fluffy towels and fun design in room! All of this made us feel right at home! All the little extras like the orange and cedar soap in our shower and the ginger soap at the sink. Oh, yes, did I mention great location, too!!! We loved it here! Just steep steps - but that is typical in a canal house! Actually conquered them the first day. Bags are taken up and down for you so no problem! The view at the top made it all worthwhile!

The room decor was wonderful. The facilities extremely clean. Generous and free mini bar. Great shampoos, soaps and lotions. Chocolate. The breakfast was superb with all breakfast foods offered. The staff was helpful and extremely accommodating. Maybe the stairs. But that is part of the specialness of Amsterdam.

A quirky hotel in a central location close to china town and red light district. Everything thought of in the room with free snacks. Rachel and Pepijn were friendly & informative, rachel more so. Food very good, all fresh and tasty. Rooms tastefully decorated and very comforable beds & pillows.

Rachel and her husband are incredible hosts. The room was just lovely and incredibly comfortable. The hotel's location is perfect and the style and flair of the hotel and rooms give a perfect representation of the real Amsterdam. The hotel provides a charming, delicious breakfast every day to get you started right. We cannot wait to return. I can only make wonderful comments about the hotel as staying here is truly a wonderful experience.

Rachel, the manager/owner was very helpful and friendly and the location was excellent. The room was very basic. Okay, but certainly not on the luxurious side. Felt it was a little expensive for what you got.

The hotel is a charming place and the service level is extremely high. Although the record heat somewhat colors the experience, I would absolutely recommend it for travellers who want something that's got personality, good prices and an excellent location. Having to make the choice between opening windows or risk having mosquitoes in the room. Americans also appreciate having washcloths (although this seems to be a universal deficiency), but because the hotel uses body wash, it would be nice to be able to have a cloth for bathing

The best feature of this accommodation was Rachel's warm welcome and her readiness to help you. Breakfast was lovely. We choose this hotel for it's location and were not disappointed. Take the reviews about the step stair in this establishment seriously. We were on the top floor up 3 ladder like stairs, it takes a bit of getting used to. There is no area to sit and relax at the end of the day. The only common area is the breakfast room/bar.

The owners they were excellent, very relaxed, friendly and very helpful. The hotel is situated in a position, which gives you excess to all the attractions. If we ever decide to go to Amsterdam again, this is the hotel that we would choose. With it's quirky atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. Yes one to choose.

A nice hot breakfast with fresh squeezed OJ was available. It is managed by the owners, husband and wife. We only saw one staff member. He cooked, cleaned, carried luggage- basically seemed to do most everything- he was very friendly and tried to please. Rachel, owner, was very helpful with any questions asked and seemed to go out of her way to help. This is a 6 bedroom older home converted into basically a B&B, even though it is called a hotel. The breakfast is offered from 9am-noon unless requested earlier. If you are there to sight see that makes you get a late start on the day. The steps to the room were very narrow and steep. No air conditioner and bathroom was very small. Quite alot of outside noises. If you are used to the city then it would not bother you. The husband was extremely rude and did not make you feel welcomed. Completely night and day from the wife.
