Hotel Monopole & Apartments

Hotellin sijainti oli hyvä. Vastaanotossa suositeltiin aparttementtia meidän käyttöön, koska lapsiperhe. Olimme varanneet 4 hengen huoneen. Hintaero oli vaan 10 euroa ja otimme aparttementin. Hotellin aamupala oli ihan kohtuullinen.

Hotellin vastaanotossa sai niin erilaisia tietoja maksutavasta ja maksuajasta. Ensimmäinen virkailija kertoi, että luottokorttia käytettäessä peritään lisämaksu. Sitten hän huomasi, että olemme kaksi yötä ja kertoi, ettei mene lisämaksua ja voimme maksaa lähtiessä. Seuraavana päivänä aamupalalta lähdettäessä toinen vastaanottohenkilö tivasi, että meidän pitää maksaa hotelli heti.

The staff were polite, welcoming and very helpful.

Very loud music through the night, room a bit tired, outdated, equally with the bathroom, but rate was cheap, you get what you pay for.

It was a quaint hotel, friendly and very helpful staff. It was a regular European style hotel, and the in-room breakfast was fantastic. The hotel is located right in the center, 2 mins away from transport (canal, bus, tram) and we felt very safe!

A little more cleaning in the bathroom area. Although the bedding seemed to have been changed everyday, only the towels were changed; the shower/toilet/sink/floor was not cleaned for the 5 days we stayed.

central location

first, the receptionist insisted that I pay cash. she also said it didn't include breakfast (unlike what the website said). a very tired hotel. steep stairs. the hotel is next or at the back of a large club. music didn't stop until 5am in the morning. at some point the wall was actually shaking. one of the worst hotel experiences

The room was large, but had no window, only a skylight. Also, there is a night club next door which made it a bit noisy.

The hotel is located pretty much in the centre of Amsterdam, which was really convenient as we were only staying for 4 nights. As we had booked the apartment, we had two rooms, both of them of a size bigger than expected.

There were a couple of things which annoyed us. Only one hanger in the closet, no hand towels at the toilet and we only got one key, and that's certainly not enough for 4 adults, who has different preferences in a city like Amsterdam.

Staaf was friendly and clean room.worth staying there.

Poorly accessed. Staff not helpful. Inclusive breakfast was a joke. Rooms noisy.

Going home back to the UK

Everything! will not be staying at this place again. . . . Pic on the website are not what the hotel looks like! I will think twice before you booking.com!
