Multatuli Hotel  

A great value hotel in a central location. A bit worried about some negative trip advisor comments but was pleasantly surprised. No sign of the cockroaches one visitor claimed; the sheets were not only clean but snowy white and better than some 4 star hotels.Breakfasts fine and staff helpful. Lockers for luggage after checking out meant easy access to nearby station and flight links later in the day. No hassle great!

Simple and comfortable, nothing extravagent. Breakfast was very good, staff were very efficient and friendly. If you want a room with breakfast in the cnetre of Amsterdam for an affordable rate, this is a great choice.

Would like to stay room is clean and location ok, staff was rude when checking out from hotel they checked the mini bar and got charged for items we didn't have clearly didn't check before we arrived! They was going to take the amount from my card which was wrong, so I payed it as I was not getting anywhere they was very rude!!

The bed was extremely comfortable.

I am 84 years old and when taking my first shower in my room I slipped and had a bad fall. One of the staff had to help me stand. I didn't ask for medical attention but on my return home the pain in my back was getting worse. I visited my local hospital and had a check up. X-rays did not show any broken bones but the pain is still intense and I have been prescribed strong pain killers. There was no anti-slip mat in the shower and this is essential for older guests such as myself. I am not making any insurance claim but if non-slip mats were available for older guests, it may prevent some other person being injured. I enjoyed my time there and would return given the opportunity.

Suited the six of us travelling together. 5 mins walk from Central Station. Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast, but dining area a little congested at busy period. Rooms clean, comfortable. Would stay there again if in Amsterdam.

Budget hotel opposite to the station. Noisy location but nice atmosphere and just location

Hotel is close to the Central Station, to Damrak. We could have tea, the kettle was in our room (water in the store nearby).

Bed was so soft. Curtain on a window is needed to wash.

Spacious, comfortable, quiet room, friendly & efficient staff and generous breakfast.

Basemenr room rather dingy.

Location next to centraal station is ideal for people needing to get an early morning train - room was clean and comfortable and value for money - decent continental breaksfast as well

Slight problem when checking in as we changed reservation from a four person room to three but they tried to charge for four. Soon resolved with little fuss by the man on reception.

Basic accomodation. Bathroom needed anew shower screen.

The Thai lady serving breakfast did her best to make you fell welcome everyone else was surly.

Very poor standard of accommodation and very pricey. The room was minute and of poor standard. Possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We walked all night to avoid returning to the room and then left asap next morning.

close to city center

the room is small, but fine for one or two people. The price is good
