A great value hotel in a central location. A bit worried about some negative trip advisor comments but was pleasantly surprised. No sign of the cockroaches one visitor claimed; the sheets were not only clean but snowy white and better than some 4 star hotels.Breakfasts fine and staff helpful. Lockers for luggage after checking out meant easy access to nearby station and flight links later in the day. No hassle great!

I rarely do these surveys, but this hotel was out of the ordinary. For the price, I was expecting a mediocre European pension type hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. It was extremely clean, very quiet, extraodinary full breakfast. The staff was efficient and professional. There was a small fridge. Lighting was sufficient. Our room was on the main level which was up about 8-9 steep steps (inside), but there is no elevator, so if stairs are a problem for lugging suitcases, it is not for you.

Very convenient for the train station and main attractions within Amsterdam. The room, although small, was perfectly adequate. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The buffet breakfast had excellent choice and really set us up for the day.

The room was comfortable and clean. Lots of hot water. Location of hotel was ideal. The staff in the breakfast room were not very helpful - too busy chatting. The hot items of the breakfast were not appealing and appeared to be cooked in the microwave.Coffee and hot water were only warm and so of no use at all - requests for hot water sorted problem eventually.Reception staff failed in customer service.

Receptionist man during the daytime very short and not at all welcoming when we arrived or even when we were coming to and from the hotel. All other staff lovely and helpful. Especially night receptionists.

Great location, Nice staff, reasonable price for Amsterdam A little cramped but that the norm here. Only one key for up to 4 people sharing makes it a nuciance when people are coming home at different times.

Location. Breakfast girl very polite and helpful, so was the short bald guy. Blonde slim receptionist not friendly at all. Only one chair in the room, I asked for a second one as there were two of us staying for 12 nights and although the staff said they would take care of it, they never did.

Very close to the Centraal Station and the Trams. Walking distance to many shops and attractions. The triple room was very small for three people with luggage but it was clean and comfortable.

The location of the hotel is perfect, just across the main train station. Staff were polite and assistive; room was nice and clean. Windows were old and loose, so they could not prevent the noise coming from out of the street, which is very frequented by traffic.

Not much. the bedding and towels were clean, but the rooms were very poor. rickety furniture, mould on the wall, cigarette burns and stains on the net. very small room. I cannot belive we paid over 100 euros a night to stay in such a poor room. we of course complained, but we were unable to see a manager until the day we booked out, and he told us he knew about all our "points" and was sorting them, he told our friends who had similar complaints almost word for word the same. Their twin room was a joke when they were in bed they could not even see one another! very very dissapointing. i would definnatly not recoomend this hotel at all.

Both my partner and I found this hotel to be even better than expected. When booking online we were advised that the room would have either a double or twin beds and either a bath or shower. I requested a double bed which our room had and the room also had a bath and shower. The room itself was extremely clean and comfortable; we cannot fault it at all. The staff were always available and very friendly. The booking we made included breakfast which had a huge variety of foods to cater for everyones taste. The location of the hotel is directly opposite central station and is ideal for travellers who want to see as much of Amsterdam as possible. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

The policy that child of 3 year old need to pay extra, even if staying in same bed as parents (no extra bed), is just very unreasonable. That is not standard practice of the 7 other hotels we stayed during this trip to Europe. The policy is not that obvious, or highlighted during booking. The hotel room is very very small, and in rundown condition.

The Hotel’s biggest asset is its location, only 5min from Central Station. The room was comfortable and clean although a bit small. Breakfast was great and staff was always extremely helpful & friendly. It’s is a bit expensive, but then again Amsterdam is not cheap! Will stay there again!
