The excellent facilities of the renovated room, the great location (near Van Gogh museum) and free wi-fi. The rooms are small, although I've in smaller hotel rooms in Italy and much less equipped, so I would not take this is a major con, just as a bare fact. The breakfast of the hotel, cost EUR 17.50, is surely not justifying it's price. It should be priced at 50-60% but if you have time then you can get breakfast in Leidsplein which is 5 min walk. |

Nice location Very clean Small rooms but still comfy The noise from de builders at 8 a.m. in the morning! But steel recommend this hotel, anyway it should be finished when you will book your room. And ask for the 6 Euros parking if you have a car!! For a mysterious reason the girl at the reception told me about it only after a 5 min chat. |

The location of the hotel and the surrounding area were beautiful Most of the things were awful. On the website it wasn't advertised that the hotel is being renovated, so it was a building yard all over the place. The cleaning was absent, in 3 days nobody came to clean the room, change the sheets and towels, nobody came to empty the garbage bin. The room was very very small, lilliputian size, you couldn't even open the suitcase, there was just not enough space to do that. |

The only thing was the location The size of the rooms way too small, especially for the price also the noise factor extremely loud and no one is told about it prior to staying. |

The room we stayed the first night was really bad, dirty and old. In the second night we moved to another room, brand new, clean and comfortable. The hotel is going through a heavy renovation. After 08:00 AM you can't sleep at all. Very noisy. |

I thought the check in/out process was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful. Disappointed that the hotel were not able to provide me with an evening meal as I wasn't part of a group? Strange... |

Rooms that we had were quite new and clean. Price that we paid for twin room was ok when comparing to hotels with same level of rooms. Service in reception was slow. First guy serving us was rude, but girl who who took over was nice and helpful. Heavy renovations were ongoing while we were there. Outside of the hotel was covered by scaffolding. Work outside started on Saturday morning at 7:30. Just one meter outside of our window there was a "construction elevator". |

quick response to the disaster of a leaking roof--staff immediately moved me to a new room. steep stairs on entry challenged my bad knee, and would block wheelchairs. |

good location in Amsterdam city centre, nice hotel lobby, nice, if compact, bathroom suite with lovely shower. window didn't close properly, light switch next to bed didn't work, pillows lumpy and small, tv inconveniently positioned, check in/out slow and confused. |

location for museums very poor quality service at check in. We had booked a double, ended up with a twin. Check in staff not trained at all. Rude check out. Small rooms for the money. Hotel being refurbished so hotel was messy, avoid until 2010 when all the scaffolding and dirt on the windows might be removed. |

The hotel was very close to city shopping and tourist area. It was easy to walk or bike around city. The hotel staff spoke very good English. We expected a very basic room and that it what we received, beds small shower, and a T.V. It would have been nice to have a couple of glasses in the room for water or drinks. |

Location; very close to Museums and nice shops nearby. Keep in mind that this hotel is in the middle of major renovation. It was very noisy from early in the morning. You'd better ask for rooms of lower level. |

The staff was the best part. They spoke English and were willing to answer any questions and help us get around the city. I was not informed about the extra money that was charged to my credit card, and then removed after a week? And still do not really understand the point of this. But guests should be informed so they can make sure they have enough money in their account for this extra money being charged. |

Room accessed via extremely steep, spiral staircase, anyone slightly infirm could not have done it. Very loud building work started on hotel at 08.30 and lasted all day. Your website said tea and coffee making facilities - not in our room! |
